A new subscriber to your vids. Really enjoy watching them. I'm new to plumbing having been in IT for the last 30 odd years. I've always enjoyed doing really basic jobs at home or families such as replacing a toilet/rad/sink/taps etc.. and thought why not learn it proper. Ive just completed a weekend plumbing course and got my L2 diploma. Not sure if I want to pay the extra for the NVQ. But the master plan is to do Gas which I start next month and aim to get Gas Safe registered during the course of next year. Your vids are excellent for guys like me to see what happens in the "real world" rather than what happens in a training centre.

I always tell people I can’t say I’ve enjoyed every job I ever did but I’ve really enjoyed the industry. After 51 years in the engineering construction game as a pipe fitter/ welder I’ve been on some real challenging work but enjoyed the problem solving and passing on my experience. I mentored an apprentice from day one and now at 33 he’s taken over from me in the office as manager. He has a great work ethic, great craftsman and problem solver. I told him a few years ago that I couldn’t really teach him anymore, just give him the benefit of my experience and guide him in routes he may not have been on before. He’s top notch, and I’m really happy to have helped him on his path. He only needs to expand his experience into some of the other trades, rigging and mechanical.

Hi Tom, yep I always enjoy the one day jobs etc, this was yet another enjoyable film to watch. The time you take filming, editing and uploading is always appreciated and I always enjoy the variety of jobs you do, I can always learn something. Another great video. Beautiful pipework, as usual. Personally, unlike ordinary pencils, I find the Pico type hard to mislay, as you get into to habit of putting it back in its holder automatically. The built-in sharpener is also very handy. (Being a Festool fan I have the Festool branded version 😀) I find your narration and casual conversation makes your videos highly watchable and very relaxing, and I really appreciate the effort you put into making your videos, on top of doing a full days work!

Tom you keep reeling them out. How I don't know. Steven Spielberg isn't as productive.

A couple of points, as always😂😂 Your Waste pipes are connected to the horizontal Soil Pipe. This is not in keeping with the Design of a Single Stack Soil Vent system. All waste pipes should connect to the Vertical Soil Vent Pipe & have a limited run. Check out any Plastic manufacturers’ design detail/installation instructions. These OX waste pipe cutters are shit, much better with the dedicated ones 40 & 32mm ones. I’d always have a CC WC Soil Pipe pop-up at 90mm centre from the finished wall, however, all bent WC connectors vary. We use Marley or Polypipe. Multikwik ones it’s at least another 10-20mm further back to the wall!! Keep up the good work & don’t let the bastards grind you down👍👍
