Nah, the swords are missing. Real Sikhs carry those huge talwars. He ain’t no Sikh if he has a Dj decks instead, he has converted to a mentally colonised Indian.
@@frankiemendez4601 I didn't even know that the US had a jungle scene. I'm happy the find out they do though and I hope you have fun at their live sets.
@Hyster1aMcR Indeed. I caught the jungle bug in '95. It was a growing scene in the late 90s-early 2000s, but had a setback when dubstep came along. Drum 'n bass is starting to re-emerge again thankfully.
Seen videos of Stevie Hyper D in Canada on Tv in the 90's promoting gigs and explaining the scene. The US has always been ahead of them. Miami EDM music awards in the early 00s, I cant find the track anymore but I think it was called Miami and might have been on Ram Records. A long time has passed so it's all a bit hazy, feel free to correct me.
@KillaBitz bit before my time the 90s scene. I grew up listening to Skibba Shabba Eksman Trigger Bassman Spider and so on through the 00s. Though I do like a lot of the older stuff where Hard-core transitioned into Jungle.
@@streetbean456 yes, but jungle and dnb are SO MUCH MORE than the winston Bros sample mate..... the USA had NO input in the creation of jungle, save that the drummer from one record happened to be american. get a grip mate
@@streetbean456 that’s kinda a reach 😂 Same break sampled on most drums in hip hop too so it’s a strange way to look at it. Key ingredient yes, but doesn’t define jungle/dnb.. Speeding it up and the snares/double time are what created the genre. Totally a uk thing like dubstep.
I travelled all around the UK in the 90s, searching for the best venues. I found that Sheffield, Leeds, Birmingham and Liverpool had the best dance scene. Man, nights spent at cream, Godskitchen, gatecrasher, insomniacz, sundissential and niche were something special.
I started going to raves in the early 90's at The Sanctuary in Milton Keynes. The lineups were a mix of Drum and Bass and Happy Hardcore DJ's. It's good to see Drum and Bass is still popular. I think Happy Hardcore disappeared a long time ago.
Some real messy times at the Sanctuary 😅 such a great venue in the day man , I used to love the dnb and happy hardcore, one minute watching Kenny ken then slipmat, proper nights lol
Early 90s was hardcore, drum and bass came along after jungle and happy hardcore was sorta the same time. But yeah those were the days. Went downhill for me around 95.
I can’t tell you how much I hate happy hardcore! The amount of times I’ve been too mashed to switch from the Sanctuary to the rollers and had to have my ears Geoff Caped by happy hardcore 🥴 (91-93Hardcore on the other hand is the 🐕💄!)
You need to play power ballets DnB for Aussies, it’s all they understand, like meatloaf bat out of hell Bou remix, they’ll lap that shit up!! Those Yabby Creek boys, know what time it is! They play 93 darkside! 👌
@@bangin_beats please post track title if you know it. I would love to do some digging but where would I even start? Thank god somebody else posted it: Y U QT - Y'all Ready For Dis (there's a 3-minute version on youtube)
Hey look, as an American it is all love from across the pond. Thank you to the UK for bringing us some pretty awesome and inspiring music, we try our best over here to respect the culture
@@goldenstarmusic1689 it’s all love bro. Just try and come to the uk and enjoy a proper nights raving here some time, it’s a dif experienced to what u find in the US in multiple ways. Nights u never forget
I’m an American who was lucky enough to move to an RAF Base in England in 1992. I was in my early teens but I instantly fell in love with the emerging Jungle scene, which kicked off my lifelong love of electronic dance music (and my obsession with reggae!). It’s nothing but love and admiration from over here
Nice to see Americans just now learning how shit like this is supposed to look 😂 I'm joking ofc but if you wanna know, this is called Boiler Room, plenty of other artists too.
@davideaston8314 how come? I haven't been to 2003 raves but from 2005 onwards. There are always illegal warehouse raves going on, just like then. Also, big events and clubs dedicated to the music just like then. The technology has developed further, sure the sound has changed with the time. But to be the stereotypical "back then it was better" guy who thinks that his life's timeline was the only right one is a bit odd. Especially because there seem to be millions of people like this across all generations. The ultimate truth is that you were probs in your late teens, early 20s - you know, some of your most formative years - and you have nostalgia glasses for that period of your life rather than there being an objective superiority of the music's quality. The majority of people in the ex-ussr who have a hard-on for the soviet union are the people who have lived through their 20s in the last decade of communism. They don't actually miss the communism, they miss their 20s 😂
@@mishXY harsh reality. But probably fair. I was there in the 90s. Still here now. (Thanks ravertots 😅) when I read the first comment I thought yea, it was way better in the early days. But your comment made me think about that. Last year chase and status cranked out some of the best D+B ever. The quality of dj sets over the past few years has been amazing. Several top ten sets. It just keeps getting better ❤
@@iainball2023 I like to call it the "20s" glasses. I truly believe that people crave for their twenties. It's nostalgia, it's a time when there were fewer worries, it's 'youth', it's living. My parents miss the soviet union - especially the 80s, but in reality, they miss their 20s. I miss living in southern Patagonia (chile) at the last stretch of continent before Antartica - of course it is a jaw-dropping, so-fkn-gorgeous-you-wanna-rip-your-eyes-out-and-just-leave-them-there-leaning-against-a-rock-staring-at-it-for-eternity kinda nature. but in essence, it's where I've spent my 20s. Every generation thinks that their music is the best - it's a story as old as time. even though I try to remember it's a subjective feeling, I tend to think that, too. That is in no way an insult against anybody, quite the contrary. It shows that you have had a great time! The other day I went to an illegal rave under a motorway bridge with my 11-years-older brother - the kids were looking and pumping techno, and according to my bro the vibe was just like Berlin in the 90s. It's cyclical and each generation stands on the shoulders of giants of the previous generations. ♥️
Errrrrr no. Credit: what makes the song good which is the sample from the original track. The original is by 2 Unlimited, track is called get ready for this. Piss off with that false original shit.
Ill take old 90s skibba d and hyper d nicky black market....det n brockie all over again ..glad to see the music still works for people....i bet they aint vibing on them old school doves...and mitzies tho.... they was something else all together .the chemists that made them need to be studied
Reported for idiotic opinion 😂 What would you call it then? If you’re gonna come back with some granular bullshit you can get in the sea, dnb is an umbrella term
I’ve been discharged for 34 years in every genre and this is a perfect example how music evolves around the world and it has its base in every part of the world and they all come together and give us what we have today. Anything else that doesn’t have those ingredients is bullshit this guy here on the DNB clearly forever anchored, and rooted deep from the UK!!! is like a MasterChef culinary artist, taking pinches of ingredients and inventing the steak definitely not rolling salt of his forearm!! Crazy, crazy and shit like that. It’s so unreal. You can’t even make it up. !! Long live DNB thanks U.K They can lock us in make us own nothing we’re gonna be happy because we’re always gonna have our music .. Look deep into bills that are being passed in all kinds of governments. They are outlining certain beats per minute. They’ll never find us we’ve been underground for a long time DJs Rule
Mr. Yung Singh, show 'em the fire and future too! Back in LONDON, England people's this is how we roll. Weather's a bit shite, but music and love will save the day ❤. A
