The context of this chapter is when the son of prophet Muhammad PBUH named Ibraheem died and non-believers started mocking and annoying him by saying that you have no male kids who can take forward your legacy etc etc etc.. Then Allah revealed this chapter to console him.

Scholars said that their are two meaning of kawther. Kawthar is a lake in jannah from which hazrat Muhammad will give drink to his followers on the day of judgement. Second meaning of kawthar is abundance. Hazrat muhammad has abundance in everything. Millions of people are from prophet muhammad lineage. 1.9 Billions are his followers in this time. We pray durood on him in salah 5 times a day. The humbleness and cleaniness of his character is revelead to us.
