For anyone making the “They’re poor and need the money” argument. 1) Don’t confuse your guilt for empathy 2) Lack of money doesn’t automatically forgive lack of morality 3) They’re not stealing a loaf of bread for their starving family. They are making large commissions by robbing the most vulnerable people in our society. 4) If these were poor white West Virginians pulling this scam on senior citizens, YOU WOULDN’T EXCUSE IT. Again, don’t let your guilt excuse abhorrent behavior. Keep up the good work, sir!

Nothing against other guys who do this, but I love the whole “to catch a predator” vibe where you’re actually stopping the guys and directly helping potential victims and including your intention in the reaction shots. It’s more than humor/comedy it’s an actual civic service. Props to you bro

I'm sickened that the police and FBI don't take this more seriously. It shouldn't have to be up to common people to go after these scammers. And shame on the news stations for always covering the stupidest s*** but not explaining these scams clear as day to the many old folk who watch the news stations (ABC, NBC, CNN, etc). Thankfully there are people like you who are able and willing to spend your days helping people and bringing some justice!

One tried to get my great grandmother and tried using ME as leverage for it. I'd talked to her about scammers before so she knew to try to reach out to me first and didn't get scammed, but they had her believing I'd done something awful and would be arrested, she was so upset. They literally just made an old widow cry trying to steal her money. I wish enforcement would do something about these people

I wish something would happen to these people legally as well, but as long as Indian law enforcement isn’t interested in doing anything, what can any of us do? Even our own politicians won’t care unless if it affects them personally or if they make money or fame out of the situation sadly.

Thank you for what you’re doing! My grandmother almost lost 30k to scammers. They called her everyday for 2 and a half months! She thought they were her friends because they would just chit chat with her every day. We were able to go to the post office and get the check she had sent to them back! Thank god!! I believe it was some kind of romance scam and they weren’t from India they were from Jamaica. But still! So scary that they’ll spend so much time on a scam! It was so so hard to convince my grandma that these people were not her friend.. 😔

I'm going through your video's and I'm so glad. My husband does phone banking and got my husband to watch. Thank goodness he did. He told me last night that he had someone yesterday and he was able to tell them it's a scam and told them to turn off their laptop and change bank info and a comp tech to remove the info. And not to pay them the excess money back. Thank you so much.

That's why they scam more older people and before convincing them to put money in between the book, scammers push them to the most vulnerable point that they become unable to think straightly. Here since Peirogi was just acting like a vulnerable old woman, the scammers fell for it and we know it's a scambait but just imagine this happening in real life. It's scary

I want to personally thank you for what you do..... my late gma, ironically Betty, was a victim over a decade ago. She called me crying that a man was threatening her if she didn't western union him money. I answered the phone and was amazed how hateful his words were. We had to spend nights with her because of how afraid she was. It was horrible and eye opening. We had to take over her finances after atleast 12k was stolen. Greatful for what you do.

Footage of the money hidden in book shows the STARK REALITY of these scams. Thank you for your driving force to head towards the green part of the funnel to save victims as much as possible. Love the explanations in between so new people can understand this process.

That made me sick seeing that book full of money. My heart dropped, all I could do is think what ever happened to the person sent that out and how many people end up losing homes and life savings that makes them have to go back to work. Some money from ebay showed up in my mom's account. Then some money was withdrawn.. She doesn't have ebay or order anything online. I don't know if it was some kind of trial run. I told my mom to call the bank and cancel her account. Before she could cancel her account, 60 bucks showed up. She immediately closed the account. The scammers lost 60 bucks. Suckah!!!

I feel so stupid because at the start of my college experience I was scammed. Watching this really upsets me, I wonder how I could have been so stupid. But I’m really glad you are out there doing what you can to save at least one person. My shame towards myself eats away at me every time I see my bank account. Anyone can fall victim to a scam, it just takes a scam tailored to your weaknesses. Jim Browning's entire channel is about exposing/stopping scammers and yet he recently fell victim to a scam and ended up deleting his entire RU-vid channel (though he was eventually able to get it reversed).

Don’t feel ashamed. I was scammed too by them convincing me my computer had been compromised and needed to be fixed. I ended up letting them on my computer and everything they did seemed so legit. I gave them like $200 to fix it. Stupid! But how would we know? If you aren’t the kind of person to be out there manipulating everyone then you are going to assume that people are legit. But now we know. I think it’s a lesson we all need to go through at least once then we gotta wise up and help others. Be safe❤️

I was scammed at work. I run payroll and was scammed into changing an employee 's bank info. The employee herself is Indian so the broken English did not send off any alarm bells (she's very smart and speaks English very well, just emails in a different way than native speakers - so I mean no disrespect to her) I lost $1800 for the company... I feel like I'm an intelligent, good person. But we all have those moments. Please don't feel stupid. It can happen to anyone and it happens more than we'd like to admit.

Don't feel bad. These people can be very convincing. I too was scammed when they locked up my computer. My best friend was scammed for $1500. She said that guy could've sold ice to an Eskimo. She is living on Social Security and is a great-grandmother. How these scammers can do this is unbelievable. They will reap what they have sown. Nobody gets away with sin.

First Pierogi love the new hair, just jelly that you still have hair to dye. Second every stream I catch there's always someone saying delete files. This video shows the importance of getting the bank accounts and the addresses over deletion of files.

Agreed. On the other hand, when you are the point you get convinced by a stranger over the phone to put cash from your account into a book and send it to some address, it's time to donate away all you got to a good cause, or whatever. It's the time you and your money have to part, and go different ways in life.

Dude, keep doing what you're doing. A number of years ago scammers took my grandmother for 800 bucks and almost got her for more. Thank god my parents were watching her finances. Luckily we were able to come together and replace the 800 bucks she lost. Other people aren't so lucky. Keep exposing these people. Love your videos, they're entertaining and you're doing the right thing at the same time. Best of luck to you man.

👏👏😀 I thought you sent a GPS tag to find them at first. If someone does send cash, they can call the local sheriff on the receiving end for an intercept even at the last minute. That's happened several times successfully.

When my grandmother passed away, my grandfather got a call saying it was my brother. The person on there other side of the line said my brother was in New Jersey and needed bailed out of jail. My grandfather was skeptical of it because my family lives on the other side of the country. He gave us a call and he was about to head to the bank, get 1500$, and put it in some magazines to ship some where. We called my brother and he said he wouldn't be caught dead on that side of the Delaware. I pieced together that these scammers were looking at the obituaries and targeting older widows/widowers. That was the scummiest thing I heard a scammer do
