Depends on you, if you think you are good in mid lane in terms of macro that would be better but you might as well play another champion and get same results. Top lane is all about match-up, your laning capabilities matters alot, but getting counter picked might screw you. I consider it as a matter of "pick your own poison", each lane has different priorties and how well you handle them determins the results.
