Hardstyle revolution was the first song that even brought me into the electronic music genre...before that I hadn't even heard a single big room, progressive, trance, etc. track. Have these guys to thank for the (almost) past decade of festivals, raves, etc.

It's probably for the better. They must've recognized the downward spiral Hardstyle was caught in and pulled out before it tainted them aswell. We should cherish what he have from them, I much prefer their old bangers instead of weak newer stuff.

The biggest problem with Showtek making big room house, is that they actually make the best big room tunes out there. Which isn't great because it will only influence them to stay with big room and not make the hardstyle return.

My discovery of showtek is sad. Ages ago there was this girl that moved to another state. She wasnt allowed social media nor did I use any at that time. We games pretty much every night together as it was our way of keeping in touch. Then her state had really ba flooding that alot of people died in. It happened never heard from her again. But one thing we did was listen to music while gaming. We each played the same song we reccomend to each other. Showtek were her idols. All she got me to listen to. Now I still love em and hardstyle. Really sucks I have no idea how they are. No it wasn't a romantic thing either

Lucky enough to see them in 2011 when they were still playing hardstyle, they were absolutely AMAZING. One of the best DJS I had seen perform live, no doubt about it.However, It's unfortunate that the next time I saw them in 2013, they had just released cannonball and pretty much played that through their entire set.. IT WAS AWFUL. So disappointed to see these guys become cookie-cutter house djs and lose themselves to the mainstream.
