Well u have to understand acting has evolved. Back in the day the acting would have impacted young ppl then versus how Natalie dormers portrayal hits todays youth. It evolved Becuase ppl did. what they wanted to see and how acting was judged changed. I think both portrayals r admirable but I am a product of my youth and the way dormer portrayed it is in such a way that back then they hadn’t learned that sort of acting yet. And the caliber of camera and stage and clothing the whole thing. There’s something to be said for different portrayals in different time periods OF someone from a different time period. Dormers is more…visceral and sexual and… gritty. But alas that doesn’t mean that no other adaptation could match up it means they would be different. And some grow attached to one or another type of portrayal. Personally I think playing such a…varied character takes a lot of panache. Historically Anne is a very controversial figure. It’s hard to know a lot of things for certain about her but one thing we do know is she was clever and she was charismatic and she was passionate and dormer does that justice. Particularly in how clever she is. Again I could be biased. I’m open to other thoughts! Jus wanted to share mine :)
what I love about her is that she really knows her history... apparently, unlike many actors, she did a lot of research and that's just awesome. not to mention her beauty and poise.
TheLeaveTaking She intended to major in history before she decided to become an actress. I love that she's so passionate about it and it shows in her chosen career.
she is a fabulous Anne Boleyn, sexy, seductive, enchantingly beautiful and she has an intense magical quality in her eyes that makes me understand why she could capture king Henry....
well yes, Natalie Dormer is incredibly beautifull , but the real Ann Boleyn, I am not so sure ... but anyway, The Tudors is the best series ever, my DVD are completely worn out, I must buy new ones, I think it is very important to watch a period when people had pleague, horrible diseases and they still continued their lives, because they had no choice, now we do have choice, but we are afraid of Covid , I mean, NOT ME , but so many people ! is n't it a total joke, really ??
She got it all right. Anne was a really exotic and different figure of the English Court, and she played it really well, because she really gave a human touch to a very revolutionary figure in the English Monarchy. She is the best actress I have ever seen. Congratulations Natalie
I love her interpretation of Anne. This historical figure has been known as the most classic "home wrecker" of all time, and Natalie manages to develop her into a complete human being. At first, I fell into the trap of hating her because I empathized with Catherine, but by the execution I found myself changing my mind and relating to Anne. Fantastic handling of the ultimate "slut shaming" story.
Then you never understood the historical issues or watched the series. She did not wreck any home. Henry came after her. He was on the lookout for a new wife because Catherine was old and barren and he needed a legitimate son and heir. If Mary had been a boy, we would never remember Henry VIII in particular because he would not need a new wife, hence all the drama. He couldn't wait for Catherine to die. If it wasn't Anne, it would be someone else.
God Im in love with her....she is just so incredibly beautiful but not in a very classic way, She isnt perfect....but those eyes, she has a delicious sexiness behind that cheeky little smile of hers....Im just in awe.
This was where I got introduced to the talent that is Natalie Dormer. Her portrayal of Anne Boleyn was absolutely sublime and powerful. She played Anne as someone who was not weak and was brave no matter what she faced even when she was going to her execution. From season 3 onwards she was deeply missed. Its like I wanted them to just keep her in it as she had the best chemistry and scenes with Jonathan Rhys Meyers and amazing costumes. Natalie Dormer's chemistry with Jonathan Rhys Meyers was hot and sexy. She went from one queen to another in Game of Thrones and delivered another strong powerful performance. She's such a talent would love to see her in a superhero movie even though she appeared in the first Captain America movie.
Very eloquent and unexpectedly knowledgeable in the subject area; 'unexpectedly' only because not many performers take it upon themselves to truly understand the person they are playing. Her three-dimensional and humane portrayal of Anne Boleyn made me fall in love with the late queen and, surprisingly, that particular era. She fleshed out the character more so that any actress that had played Anne before (in my opinion, yours may differ). I thought it was perfectly done to the point where I'm actually questioning how reliable our textbook depictions are. She certainly wasn't just a wayward harlot.
Natalie, was the best Anne, loved her in this role. She is such a beauty, a natural blonde , but the dark hair was stunning on her. She made you believe in Anne.
Best Anne Boleyn literally if someone tells me Anne Boleyn I imagine dormer and only the stunning dormer as Anne Boleyn she really did her research on her character so it came naturally for her she was born to play the role of Anne Boleyn
i don't know if its her eyes or like this gentle serenity about her but I could seriously stare at Natalie Dormer all day and I still wouldn't be able to figure out what exactly about her makes her just stand out as a person. She's so perfect for Anne Boleyn, she gives off this very charismatic and witty demeanor, and she gives off this air of being a calculated, observant and dangerous as well as extremely manipulative and its so interesting to watch.
i really love how much admiration she has for anne and how much research natalie did for the role! i truly believe this is why she remains the best and most humanized portrayal of anne
Natalie Dormer is my favorite actress. I never get tired of watching her and I'm always captivated by her looks. I write and she is always my muse. I really hope I can meet her one day! I love you Natalie!!!!!!!
Natalie Dormer's portrayal of Anne Boleyn is my favourite. She's so enchanting and elusive, her acting draws you in, and behind the scenes, she seems so down to Earth. She's become one of my favourite actresses after the Tudors and I wonder if theres anymore work from her :)
merveilleuse actrice dans "" les Tudors "" tous les acteurs sont performants ... mais elle a incontestablement le meilleur rôle qu'elle a su jouer avec la perfection .. Merci Natalie Dormer pour ces bons moments
Her performance in this show blew me away. The entire cast is great, but she really moved me. It inspired me to go back and learn more about medieval and Tudor England. So, thank you Natalie for entertaining me and making me smarter!
She is the reason that I love Anne. She brought her to life and showed everyone how truly captivating and brave Anne Boleyn was. Perfect performance, couldn’t have picked a better actress.
Natalie Portman has been sort of forgot despite playing Anne very well of the movie, based off an offensively bad “historical” novel, was. “The Tudors” had a mess of errors but was still largely true to the source material, which is why both it and also the performances (mainly Natalie Dormer’s) are remembered. I think if Natalie Portman played Anne in a better movie she would get more accolades.
@@Quirky_Ventriloquist oh I deeply hated Natalie Portman’s portrayal of Anne Boleyn. To me she did no justice to the character or to the person, besides, the story itself puts Anne in a terrible light just to make Mary seem like the better choice. Really, really awful movie. Of course, I still very much like Natalie Portman and Scarlet Johansson as actors, I just hate that movie😅
I am a woman. I was hyptonized by her during the show. I question my sexuality till this day when I see her. 😅 After her character died all other actresses were dull and plain compared to her screen presence. Beautiful, smart and eloquent woman. Undeniable sexual energy. Undeniably intelligence and commitment to her work. Maybe I am a huge fan . Maybe I have a huge crush, haha. Wish she has a brilliant carrer ahead of her 👏🏽👑
yes, I never questioned my sexuality until i saw Natalie in this interview and as in the character for young Anne Boleyn in the earlier seasons. She really is hypnotizing, i can't seem to look away from her.
there is something so unique of natalie... it's like she is really good at playing angles with her stare that makes her eyes shine and makes her look so mysterious and hypnotic
yes if ones expect their wives to look like her in the morning, and after long day work and 3 kids .. i love her too, but many men don’t get it, it needs a lot of work to look as gorgeous all the time. and money.
Most of them have similar kind of attributes as Dormer- blonde hair, blue/grey eyes, fair skin. People tend to put actresses on a pedestal whereas everyday women in the world can be just as attractive.
I absolutely loved Natalie’s interpretation of Anne Boleyn, we tend to think Anne as a cruel, heartless, ambitious woman but in this series she was portrayed as a very complex one, as she should have been. Natalie is such a great actress!
I do believe that she proves that actors don't all have to be like Lindsey Lohan and Paris Hilton, and that actors in fact can be very intelligent. She is SUCH a history buff, it's amazing. Her analysis of the history is amazing as well.
To sum up the series The Tudors. Phenomenonal . I have watched it several times , it never gets old each time I watch it , I like it more . The casting was perfection.
Is this Anne re-incarnated?👻😕Jonathon and Anne suite each other! Jonathon you are so focused and tallented. Henry would be proud of your portrayal.😊Well done both of you and thank you!
She is such an incredible woman! So intelligent and beautiful!!!And such an incredible actress!!!On my opinion she was the best Anne Boleyn! Plus she has a lot of knowledge on history because she is a historian, she finished college with a history diploma but than decided to be an actress and thanks God she did!BRAVO!AMAZING NATALIE!!!
When I first saw tudors I looks up pictures of the great Anne when she was young and was like "okay not the best match but...the passion she has is wonderful" and yes she adds a lot of anne's attitude to the show
i love her! not only is she an incredibly talented actress, but she's also intelligent and absolutely stunning! it's crazy that she hasn't starred in more Hollywood movies
I watched the Tudors & she did such an amazing work as Anne Bolyne. She is love to hate character & very very beautiful and I would love to see more of her roles.
