steveie wasn't even trying his hardest you could tell if you've seen any of his other videos told he was trying his best it would be the created shred war ever
They were trolling the fact that Jared had been trying to initiate the shred wars for a long time, and the fact that they can make light of the situation, and come out with a phenomenal video after the fact, is fucking perfect.
I think it was a joke. They couldn't seriously think we would just believe that to be true after all those times that Jared has said in a 100% serious tone/mood that Stevie was ignoring him. It could be a misunderstanding, but the chances of that being true are incredibly slim if you consider the enormous amount of comments (even Steve admitted that) that were pointing that out. If it was simply a mistake of communication you'd think that Steve would have at least done some research about what everyone was talking about. Most probable case is that they simply managed to short things out and made a joke about it.
Jared always pokes fun at how dorky Stevie is, but even his embellished apprehension at the beginning was there purposely. He's fully aware Stevie can out-shred him. Very classy he does the video anyway to showcase his friend.
He was. Both awesome players though. Steve is a goof ball but talented as hell. Thanks to his channel I learned about Jared who is also talented as hell.
Stevie definitely won🤘🏼🔥 He was probably even holding back. Jared’s obviously an incredible guitar player as well... but nothing beats Stevie’s shreds😎🎸
Stoned Gamer bruh, Petrucci and Jesus are the exact same person. If you take the name John Petrucci, add, take away and replace some letters then you get Jesus Christ.
I had the same thought watching this...i think if mr T went full force we would all be face melted at once.He holds back for the greater good of all mankind.
I still haven't seen a video where I thought Stevie was using all of his skill. He never plays anything that seems difficult to him. Maybe if he did like Rings of Saturn or wrote something that is by his definition super hard.
Stevie T is one of the best guitarists in modern day.He just doesn't put himself out there enough. He is successful but it's more towards his comedy. The comedy over shadows is killer skills on the guitar.
Stevie t is funny and thts wht makes him stevie t besides hes a mad genius when it comes to music Some may find his sense of humor annoying but dont let him fool you He is raw talent
Well yeah, I would view it as just a piece of fun as opposed to an actual competition, considering he has videos of him playing about three times as fast lol.
The winners are us, the viewers. No, but seriously, Stevie T owned your ass on the first 3 rounds, bro. That round 4, though...you stepped your game up to over 9000. MAJESTIC!
I would totally agree. Stevie T is a overall better technical guitarist, but not only did you kill in Round 4, Jared, but I would say your overall tone was better coming out of that Fender Bassbreaker. You owned him in tone.
I've played 35 years, and these guys...well, ummm shred me. Damnit, I have to practice AGAIN?? Thanks. I should have known. Practice never ends. Love you guys. 🤘
He also needs to add some nick knee and out of tune power cords, leverage and descending notes from hell, a little bit of Johnny Depp slide.... these are basics.
+Perfect Aim Jared's solo was mostly boring pentatonic scale, Stevie was more creative musically (especially the first 2 rounds). But hey Jared can play other instruments so... I guess they're even in the end lol
I think that would be a great collaboration, however I was just using the phenomenal Davie meme to point out that it took way too long for Jared and Stevie to make another video.
Shredder Grg dude sting retired before Taker did so reigns win really had no effect for that match ever. It was never going to happen but at least we can dream.
@@cheesecakes4 so your saying if he went up the Ramimaining 1/5 the universe, would be destroyed, no, no, no,... THE ENTIRE FABRIC OF OMNIVERSAL EXISTENCE, would be destroyed
Stevie T just amazing. I love the melodic toned he sprinkles throughout his solos. I just want an album of him just playing this type of music. Is there anything similar to that sound out there?
Well I dunno, some of us like wait for like the day world hunger is solved, but hey, you chapman fanboys love brown nosing rob scallon and jared etc so fair do.
Then make some goals, and by the way even if you get 5 minutes of practice in, your still improving your skills and getting better. Now I’m not saying practice 5 minutes everyday but I’m saying to set some certain type of goal for guitar
3:54 cleanest arpeggio sweep I’ve ever seen Edit: ok so almost a year has past since I posted this comment and I have been listening to a crap ton of dream theater so I take it back. It’s not cleanest sweep I’ve ever heard lmao it was awesome tho.
