It' like the Terminator Vs Robocop Deathbattle in a way, Who's gonna win, the one gets ripped to pieces every movie he's in, or the one who walks through explosions every thirty minutes....
Plus there's the fact Silver was defeated 1v1 against his rival multiple times fair and square. It usually took 5 rivals and a special condition to defeat Shredder
"Honor is the Samurai's currency." Also money. Because only rich important people hired samurai. Poor people who could not afford to hire samurai did not hire samurai.
@DivineEdits69 Yes. I am telling you that. Fox bought the MOVIE rights. There's a reason you don't see Fox under any of the comic copyrights. Also, they're both owned by Disney now, so it doesn't matter much anyway.
So glad to see Shredder get treated with some respect here. He's literally been one scary SOB in about every incarnation of TMNT with the exception of the 80's cartoon. The new IDW comics did a great job with that aspect.
The 80s cartoon may have been doofy, not disputing that, but it still didn't take away the fact that "The Shredder" is one of the scariest, most badass villain names of the 20th century.
splinter360 It was pretty much all one shredder in the end cause they're all the same human and his feats come from 2012 TMNT essentially, old school Shredder bits was just for comedy really. As long as the canons don't contradict each other then it's fair game for them
Acegamer Right ok. Won't pretend i'm a shredder expert. In other death battles however, they've used too many different sources. Like with Batman, they were using a lot of feats from the Arkham games but then also stuff from Nolan's trilogy. Which is stupid considering ones an ultra realistic human/ninja batman and the other can fight about 20 metahumans without taking a hit.
In the 2012 incarnation, Super Shredder had the ability to clap so hard that it sends debris and his opponent flying, shoot several claws from his hands like guns, survive plasma blasts, and have his hearing and smell enhanced.
“And have his hearing and smell enhanced” Ah yes the two most important things to have in combat. If shredder didn’t have his smell and hearing enhanced I don’t know if he could win this death battle
I knew Shread-head was gonna win this one right off the bat. He's a very skilled warrior and if you follow the comics and the movies, a top-notch and ruthless bad guy.
Oh no, he took 2 seconds to type something into google. So? Not like he had to go down to the library and find a book on alligators old timer. Wouldn't really call that research
@Hugh Ropp He also lost to Deathstroke in Deathstroke #8-9, Lady Shiva in Nightwing #0, Clayface in Shadow of the Bat #75, Prometheus in JLA #15... need I say more? Batman does not defeat all.
@@harmonlanager2670 No, he made several swings in that moment. The difference in speed between Silver Samurai's defense and Shredder's offense given by the video is a major low-ball nowhere near Shredder's actual limit.
@@mrreyes5004 Shredder is probably even faster because you can clearly see that the feat was done pretty casually, imagine what he can do at his full potential, Silver Samurai was screwed
Scarecrow vs Mysterio, it would be the masters of illusion, though Scarecrow doesn't just resort to his gas, both know how to fight extremely well, and both got plenty of things to use against the other, rather it be illusions, scythes, gadgets, or what have you, I feel like it'd be a fun fight to watch
I'm banking on Mysterio. Fear gas is something that has to either be injected or inhaled to work. Considering that Mysterio wears a fishbowl on his head and I doubt Scarecrow would be able to inject the real Mysterio I think Mysterio takes this. Also Mysterio has experience fighting someone who can sense if something is real or not.
Problem is Mysterio's helmet acts as a gas mask so he doesn't fall victim to his own hallucinogens. Scarecrow would have to inject him, which wouldn't be easy. SC is a pansy without his gas.
Did some research on Mysterio since it's been a while, and found out that there's been three different owners to the mantle, so much like for Venom, going to stick to Beck the most notable of the three, while yes his costume does offer much in the mobile department, his helmet is mainly to help with his gas so he can get around it, and yes it does have a filter, but Crane has shown to make his toxins be able to go through even Batman's filters on occasion, which would allow him to get the upper hand visually, it's the echolocation in the helmet I'll probably have to look into Scarecrow for, I do know that it can effect what you hear, but not sure about echolocation
BTW: Anyone asking why Shredder isn't a horrible mess after every mutagen cocktail, there is a reason, possibly two. While it is possible for Krang to undo a mutation, the general unstable nature of a Super Shredder tells me the in-game transformations are of an *unstable* mutagen, the kind that can - for instance - create a giant bull monster, but eventually wears off without the special compound that stabilizes the other principle ingrediants. After all, Shredder may get desperate, but NEVER desperate enough to end up like Bebop and Rocksteady forever!
This is one of my favorite death battles. The fast paced action, the intensity, the way the music lines up, I love it. It sucks you in, it immerses you, on the edge of the seat for the entire time. Maybe the choreography too but I’m not a film maker
@@TheUncivilizedNationBut he can lol, he has over 100 years of experience of nonstop combat and training and is essentially unkillable from any attack Shredder could throw.
Most Wrong??? Captain America vs Batman, Cammy vs Sonya, Captain Marvel vs Android 18, Ryu vs Scorpion, Gaara vs Toph, and Scout vs Tracer have plenty of things wrong with them...(espically the "winners")...
Yes. All of those people could conceptually kill their opponents. Diana would have to STAND THERE and let Rogue grab her and hold on for a good ten seconds (minimum) for her to lose. She would have to DELIBERATELY THROW THE FIGHT to lose. But she doesn't wear gloves and would eventually punch her in the face, that split second of skin contact is enough to level the difference between someone with faster than light reflexes, world smashing strength, and has been flown to the sun and back by a mind controlled Superman with a foe that can lift maybe a hundred tons and might break the sound barrier. Oh, but she can take a hit from Juggernaut. So has Cyclops. And Storm. And Professor Xavier. If Wondie hit her as hard as she could I doubt Rogue would have had a head left. There isn't a contest. Its like comparing a grenade and a super nova.
Does anyone else remembers when Leonardo 'merely separated the Shredders head from his body' at the top of Shredders tower in 2003 cartoon. One of the best scenes ever. God, i love that show, even if it did get a little weird by season 5 with demon Shredder
what he probably meant was even with their powers, they're still relatively regular humans. if you hit Wolverine with a fatal blow, he'll just regenerate. it's a shorthand for "in this fight speed is the deciding factor"
First of all, thanks for catching my Auto-Correct. I've fixed it to avoid potential future context trolls. Second, both lethal and fatal have definitions that imply sufficient cause of death, as well as a definition that implies serious injury without being a kill shot. But hey, English is weird like that.
Can you imagine a Mutant from the Marvel universe being exposed to the mutagen from the TMNT universe? like, imagine the Wolverine + Mutagen. 'yeah yeah I know they most likely wouldn't mix or do much, but still imagine if they did'
A 7 foot tall humanoid wolverine with a metal skeleton and claws sounds absolutely hardcore though Assuming it makes him a Wolverine to begin with. Either way, he's gonna be way more deadly.
@@saltystick_99 Nah, it shrinks him down to less than 3'9'', but he gains super durable skin like his old foe, Cyber. The Wolverine becomes the Honey Badger!

While Shredder specifically didn't name himself after a cheese grater, his creators certainly did. The whole concept of the Shredder was made while the artist was doing dishes, and he put a cheese grater on his hand and started playing with it.
I still think Lucario's kill on Renamon was a bit more brutal, choking on your own blood with a blunt bone-shaft impaled through your neck as you hung sounds like a terribly painful way to go, imagine how much Renamon suffered as it hung there dying slowly, at least silver-samurai dies more quickly
"The one who lands an attack first in Death Battle loses." - Shredder wins. "The one who lands an super first in Death Battle loses." - Terry wins. "The one who transforms first in Death Battle loses." - Iron Man wins. ... dafuq guys.
also in this 1 pretty much they said a death blow given shredder is 2x faster it should be a bo contest if the enemy cant react as fast. as if silver sam throwing an attack would be something shredder could avoid

I am greatly pleased with this. Not only is Shredder a childhood favorite villian of mine but the outcome made sense. I knew circumstances would get nasty once Shredder drank the ooze
This would definitly be on Watchmojos top animated sword fights. Very well animated, an awesome and epic battle with impressive sword skills and agility, and the Shredder was so badass, especially at the end.
Two killers who are so dead set of becoming number one, they are willing to cut down a bloody path to get to the top. Travis Touchdown vs. Afro Samurai.
Cool match, I agree. Plus I think we can all agree, Shredder is far more badass than Silver Samurai and doesn't need a lame teleportation ring to disappear into the shadows.
I've also noticed it's common that whoever uses his/her trump card FIRST usually loses once the other one activates his/hers. Not an exact science, but I like to believe if you can't keep up with your opponent in his/her normal state, you probably won't win at all.
The Shredder which appeared in TMNT 2: Out of the Shadows was easily the coolest and scariest incarnation of the legendary villain. Oroku Saki is one of the most dangerous martial artists and ninja to have ever existed in any fictional universe. Not only does he know dozens of martial arts, but he can also wield numerous weapons. He's a one-man ninja arsenal. Silver Samurai, on the other hand, had a suit of armor composed entirely of adamantium! This is definitely going to be an interesting fight.
I know. I half expected Silver Samurai to win since he KO'd Spider Man (likely got past that Spider Sense) and had that Tachyon field ability. Plus, that armor could protect him from buildings falling on him. Guess I forgot that Shredder was a ninja and ninjas always aim to exploit weaknesses. That and the speed feat with Shredder and the Mob Boss. Still, that ending was brutal! Brutal and well animated.
15:30 You know, Harada. Instead of holding up your sword like you’re frickin’ He-Man, you could be cutting The Shredder in two now! (I know they needed a way to bust out Super Shredder, but this makes Silver Samurai look like an utter dipshit, in my opinion.) That’s just a minor issue I have. Hella loved this fight, though. I kind of forgot that Silver Samurai was a thing.
How about Prince Zuko vs Colonel Roy Mustang? The differences between firebending and flame alchemy, plus both of their military training and tactics, will make it a very interesting fight.
That'd honestly be way too one-sided. Mustang's power isn't just making flames, he transmutes the air into a path of combustible gas. Even if Zuko has the power to redirect flames, it's been shown to have its limits, and he can't do much when Mustang can literally make it so every one of Zuko's attacks blows up in his face. Plus, Mustang's power is way more precise. He can boil Zuko's eyes or tongue before he even knows what's going on like he did against Envy.
I dunno if it'd be that one-sided. Mustang is often seen standing still during a fight, whereas Zuko is a martial artist who's always moving around amidst his attacks and uses his fire in aiding his mobility. His superior manouverability would make him a hard target to aim at whereas Mustang lacks defensive fighting skill, relying just on his raw firepower. Even Envy was rather monotonous in his attacks, always coming from right ahead in his attacks.
Quick historical accuracy note: Samurai didn't always fight ninjas. Most ninjas were actually samurai, and this is because being a ninja was a profession, but being a samurai was a social status.
Actually, most ninjas were farmers and commoners, Not samurai. It wouldn't be impossible for a samurai to become a Ninja, but because of their code and social status, it would be Extremely unlikely.
