Couldn't you just tread on the egg boxes until they were flat THEN try shredding them? Anyway now that you've been using it a while shredding cardboard, how is it standing up please? Any problems you experienced after a while?
It's a year later. Is it still shredding only cardboard? Do let us know. I'm looking at the C144-D 24 pg Bonsai for cardboard but comparing it to this one.
I have the Bonsaii C266-B. It's great on cardboard. It's Micro Cut so you get extra small shredds that breaks down even faster in the compost. It is specified 10 sheets, so nowhere near 24 sheets like the one you looked at. But it still does the job brilliantly. Any cardboard that fits into the slot, it shreds. But extra thick cardboard can therefore not be shredded.
@@sunnifreyer2759 I would love to have one, but they're not available on the European market. But at the time the C266-B is sufficient for my needs 🙂. On the C144-D, does thick triple layer cardboard fit in without being cramped?
@@sunnifreyer2759My shredder broke after about 11 months of fairly intensive use. I looked into buying the same as you, but the C144-D is not sold in Europe in the micro-cut version. The best I could find was the Bonsaii C149-D 16-page micro-cut. Hope it will last. Although I really wish I could have gotten my hands on the C144-D instead. How is yours doing now after 9 months? Is yours cross-cut or micro-cut?
