I don't know anything about off-road biking, but during the first bit I actually thought that my playback speed was set to 1.5x speed or something because it just seemed insanely fast
The swapping from 3rd person to 1st person gave a really different and great experience for me as a viewer!! Great editing there!!! If you have the content keep doing it!
I finally was able to ride some of these lines last year the weekend that the border opened and couldn't believe what I rode. We have some really great riding just outside of Seattle and any border crossing is typically reserved for Whistler park laps, but last year I decided to grab a room in North Van and hit this up and my jaw dropped. You guys have something really special up there. The combination of truly unique trail builders and natural terrain features make for such an amazing experience. Also, your skinny game is completely insane.
It has to be good to be Dave sometimes. There is a group of riders standing around and trying to figure out the riddle to a feature, and he just rolls up and he just crushes it and says "have a nice day." Lol It is the mtb mic drop.
Hey Dave, I’m a sort of beginner rider and my main weakness is cornering on loose trails. I always end up going very slow and I ride parts similar to what you’re on (terrain wise) with very little confidence and im wondering what helps? Thanks
If you're still struggling, tip your bike into the corner, lean your body away from it, you'll feel the sidewalls really dig in and youll be less likely to slide
Awesome! DD & JB hitting some tech....AND in dry conditions. DD, it was nice to see you in 'Clark Kent' mode, vs your usual Superman mode and avoid some of the features. Although your Clark Kent mode is the average rider's Superman mode! Lol Great to see JB improving his tech riding as well.
Dear Dave, when it comes to riding skinnies/ things that require balance, do you find sizing down helps with balance? Or does it just make the balancing more twitchy?
Maybe you could put a geotag or something in the description so those of us in the van area can go there....especially if we just moved to the area and don't know where everything is?
It is cool seeing the same stuff over and over again but, have you ever decided to venture out of the realm of comfort and hit trails that you haven't seen before? NA East coast is calling!
Hey Dave, awesome video, as always :D Can you maybe share - since your sound quality is incredible. Do you use standard audio mode (auto) on your GoPro with combination of WindSlayer foam or you have some Stereo mode and so on. You can literally hear every rock hit :D
It's always a pleasure to see such technical skill between riders-- It's very confidence inspiring. On another note, I see big puddles out there and you guys are riding wood features with rubber tires, that's bravery
