$250? Reverb selling them for 269, I ordered one two days ago, Great demo!

Glad you got a good Surfliner from that Reverb sale! I saw some other videos of people saying they got damaged/broken ones because they weren’t packed well in a double box, so those people sent theirs back. It actually seems like a fun guitar when it’s not broken! Those switches are a trip! 😂😂😂 I heard they’re never making them again, supposedly. I wonder why.

I have a surfliner with 2 aerosonic single coils in the neck and middle position and the humbuckers in the bridge. It's a great guitar and sounds fantastic. You can a ton of tones from it. They are a great buy at these prices.

Holy crap that box got moshed to death by a car. I always love your comedic skits. I just watched Trogly review this guitar last week. I love everything about it except the switches and the headstock. I really love the string through body, but could use a different set of pickups (higher output). Thanks for your reviews as always Josh, this gild one definitely surprised me. Guitar tech approved. Get naked, keep it bluesy, and keep your shred on. #Guitar - Thanks Josh you’re an inspirational talent.

The UK sticker has something too do with it being able to be sold in the UK. I think its essentially the same as the CE sticker that meant it was able to be sold in Europe. I guess since Brexit the UK needs their own stickers. Oh and by the way, Trogly reviewed this guitar and there is a huge route under the pickguard, you can put any pickup configuration you want to in it.

I love it. I love offsets with humbuckers. I wasn't too sure about that headstock but it's grown on me. I love that colour. I'm going to keep my eye out for one of those.

Those Guild humbuckers remind me of the ones in the S-100 model. Possible to get Soundgarden/Kim Thayil sounds?

I LOVE my Guild Surfliner. Purchased it after seeing the Reverb ad. Some of the best money I've spent, easily a $500 guitar. Guild HB Alnico 2 pickups, great vintage tones. The coil split sounds great and bites. Love the angled headstock. Nickel split shaft tuning machines. Fun fact: Guild guitars started in 1952 in Oxnard California (correction: New York). I agree regarding Indonesia. Rad that you gifted it.

Chadwick, Guild started in New York City as an association of Epiphone workers who did not want to move to Philadelphia just to keep their jobs. So they found shop space in NY and called themselves "The Guild of Guitar Craftsmen," which became shortened to simply "Guild." Eventually they moved to Westerly CT for many of the same reasons Epiphone had previously left NYC- high taxes, union politics, high costs of living and doing business, and resulting high labor costs.

@@markpell8979 thanks Mark. That's actually a great story, just makes me appreciate them even more.

@@ChadwickRider Yeah man, they said hell no to Epiphone and cooked up their own business, taking a lot of loyal customers with them. Of course this was in the early 50s before Gibson bought out Epiphone. Part of the reason Epi moved to Philly was to cut overhead expenses and make the company more marketable to investors. Nothing against Epi either, I love 'em and have several. When you can buy 4 or 5 Epis for the price of a Gibson that's easy math for me. I like Gibsons, just not the price or the company. Have a Guild acoustic too btw. I think the Oxnard era of Guild came like 10-15 yrs later in the 60s. I guess now it's just a brand but still good guitars. There's a documentary about early Guild on YT.

Not wild about the color and the headstock looks like someone's foot standing on their toes, but the guitar sounds pretty nice. And that's the most important thing. Nice video.

I live the design, but I’d rather have Sean’s design 25.3 scale late 50s LP Profile. I can’t play a skinny neck. The Scar C-buckers slay all others. The color is nice. Is that a 24.75 scale. Nice work. Did he flip it?

I had a Guild acoustic, I think it was a D8, I bought in the late 80s. Similar to a Martin D28. It was such an awesome guitar. I believe Guild was still making their own guitars then and hadn’t been sold to another company yet. Why did I sell that??? I’m sure I’d have to pay about $2,000 now to get anything close.😖

You're such a beast player! So the neck profile is pretty fat then? I wouldn't have liked it if I bought it then! I like a thin, flat neck, thank you for the info, otherwise it seems like a sweet guitar to me!
