for some reason. As a kid the first song. and that version was like a lullaby for some reason. And was so beautiful to me. ;-; when they said "da da dum da da dum di dae"
These songs are so incredibly nostalgic it hurts. I love the second song the most, used to just skip the whole movie on VHS just to listen to it as a kid. Reminds me of hot summers.
@@alisonmars6085 What do you mean? He was like 94 when the first Shrek came out. And he was like 95 when this one was made. Had he been alive when it was released he would've been probably 96. So he did see how much of an impact he made on this world. But not much. This was back when Shrek was known as a good character from an awesome movie/movies and video games. But now he's known greatly from his fandom, memes, fan arts, and that "Shrek is love. Shrek is life" thing. And not to mention the Puss in Boots spinoffs.
This was the last Shrek move to have Medieval like portraits shown during the credits. Shrek 3 skipped that with another Donkey and Puss in boots cover and Shrek 4 had a montage. To be honest I did miss those medieval portraits shown during the credits.
Hum excuse me ? Maybe you didn't stayed at the end of Shrek 3 & 4, because they have the medieval icons. For Shrek The Third just wait until the song is over, once the credits will start rolling, the icons will appear. For Shrek Forever After, same. Just wait until the montage is over and you'll see the icon in the credits. This time the icons are in negative colors to make it look like it was printed for Rumpel's contract.
The 2000s was the perfect mix of technology and real life. People had cellphones and the internet but weren’t consumed by them. I don’t think we’ll ever go back to those times 😞
God I just remember dancing infront of the T.V after the movie finished and DVD would keep going through the credits... AHHHH I WANNA CRy such great memories
The first song reminded me of my childhood when I was really young my parents bought me and my siblings all the Shrek movies and I swear to god if I hear the end credits song to the last movie I’m gonna cry
YESS I REMEMBER WATCHING THESE WITH MY BROTHER AND WE USED TO HEAR THE ENDING CREDITS AT THE END BUT THE LAST TIME WE WATCHED IT WAS 4 years ago because somehow our dvd broke :(((
The Shrek Franchise: 1. Shrek (2001) 2. Shrek 2 (2004) 3. Shrek The Third (2007) 4. Shrek Forever After (2010) 5. Puss in Boots (2011) 6. Puss in Boots The Last Wish (2022)
Yo quiero volver al día en que escuche los creditos de shrek 2 por primera vez para sorprenderme de nuevo, es una pena que ya no pasen los creditos completos en la tele.
Well at least UglyDolls is her last and final film to direct last year before she died from stomach cancer this year better make that 2 years ago since next month is 2021
@Martin. It’s tough. The 2nd Shrek had an even great cast with legendary actors like Jennifer Saunders and Julie Andrews and Antonio Banderas! I think Shrek 2 slightly beats Shrek one.
I was suprised to see this actually come up when I searched it but I had to after watching the movie again the other day , IN THE MOVIE THEATER! Me and my siblings loved these movies growing up and the second one was my favorite growing up, I still can't believe I got to experience watching it in theater, ironically also at the end of my teen years, it was nostalgic and was so excited to Hear " I need a hero" sung by fairy god mother, I was still dancing to the end credits to "funky town" on the way out😎🥺
I can remember watching Shrek 2 when it came out in theaters. I remember running up and down the isles in light-up shoes during the movie. I was like 3.
“Holding out for a hero” is a song composed by the genius Jim Steinman. Originally recorded by Bonnie Tyler. That information did not appear here. 🤷🏽♂️
How nostalgia feels? Its different to everyone or the same? You know this feeling inside You' ve grown up dude! Maybe not so much.. But still.. You may now have family , you have child! I became 30 And those memories hurts Not with bad way but its like we were living in a fairytale, inside us and around us was like paradise! and just the Time came like an very old man , he took us from the hand and he left us in a place were is full of stress and routine. I thank God for this time i had when i was small And i don't want to be ungrateful but honest I want more to be in this small age! Miss my house , my parents , my friends.. Miss the sun in the afternoon , this sunset , my playstation... I wish to you all young and old guys , all the best!
Holy shit, this gave me the biggest nostalgia wave i had in years,i remember being a kid and just doing absolutely nothing when shrek 2's credits began and i couldn't do anything because i didn't know how to use the dvd remote
The movie grossed $928 million worldwide, which made it at the time the 5th highest-grossing movie in the world (behind Titanic, The Lord of the Rings 3, Harry Potter 1 and The Lord of the Rings 2) and the highest-grossing animated movie in the world (surpassing Finding Nemo) until it was surpassed by Toy Story 3 in 2010. It's now the 60th highest-grossing movie in the world (it would be the 56th if Jurassic Park 1, Star Wars 4, The Lion King and Finding Nemo had never been re-released) and the 13th highest-grossing animated movie in the world (it would be the 11th (behind Frozen 2, Frozen 1, The Incredibles 2, Minions, Toy Story 4, Toy Story 3, Despicable Me 3, Finding Dory, Zootopia and Despicable Me 2) if The Lion King and Finding Nemo had never been re-released)
