@@bighand1530Shrek is one of the most overrated movies ever. I was 14 when it first came out in 2001 and even at that age, the hype over it was suffocating
fun fact… comedian Chris Farley was supposed to be Shrek. He recorded a lot of the movie (I think you can find some clips on YT) but sadly passed before it was completed. They had to recast and that’s when they chose Mike Myers. Crazy, I couldn’t imagine Shrek without a British accent
@@nsasupporter7557 yeah there's audio clips of Farley doing shrek voice before he passed. Let me say I'm glad mike Myers was perfect for Shrek cuz farley wouldn't work. It sound weird when he did it lol
An all-time animated movie classic, I love how this film subverts the whole fairy tale trope. You would expect Fiona to be a true damsel in distress, but she can actually fight, and she ended up becoming the beast instead of the beauty at the end to mirror Shrek. The voice casting, comedy, and movie is a 10/10 that nearly anybody from any age can enjoy.
There’s a theory that donkey might be one of the boys from Pinocchio story that got transformed into a donkey when going to that island this is further explored in the second Shrek movie
Shrek is one of the best DreamWorks movies ever. Eddie Murphy as Donkey is too hilarious, great songs and funniest moments. Fiona's fighting moves got me off guard. RIP to Steve Harwell, lead singer of Smash Mouth 🎵🎵🎵🔥🔥🔥🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🤣🤣🤣
This movie has an extremely special place in my heart. It was my Grammys FAVORITE movie. She was a big fan of Eddie, Mike, and other actors like Chris Farley, Adam Sandler etc etc. Us grandkids would watch this movie every time we would have our big sleepovers at Gram and Papa’s. She passed away from colon cancer in 2020, but before she passed away, on Christmas the whole family watched this movie together and I will always remember that. ❤Long live the green ogre movie 🍀
I love the bit where Shrek and Donkey are making fun of Lord Farquaad. Shrek: Let me put it to ya this way, Princess. Men of Farquaad's stature are in SHORT supply. Donkey chuckles- I don't know, Shrek. There ARE those who think LITTLE of him.
Shrek was genre defying for flipping the traditional narrative on its head in how happy endings can go as well as being able to simultaneously presenting it in a digestible way for adults as well as kids through its utilization of nuances in its humor.
Never realized that Shrek gets the fairytale characters and humans (after the brawl) to cheer for him making him loved by everyone compared to the start
Y'all need to watch WWE Undertaker vs Mankind, in the Legendary Cage match. Some superstars are allowed to go off script. That's what this match is, off script and real injuries. You will respect it at the least after watching.
@@bighand1530 I’m watching the reaction rn and they’re asking questions that people who have watched the movie should know so maybe they haven’t watched the movies in a very long time.
Hi RT TV REACTS, This is My Favorite Dreamworks Movie. Shrek and Donkey are comedy Duo. I Really Love Eddie Murphy as Donkey. I'm A Believer it's My Favorite Song. 7:55 some of you may die but that’s a sacrifice I am willing to make Who says something like that, And what kind of words of encouragement are those 😅😂🤣.
My top 5 favorite DreamWorks animated movies are: 1. Shrek, 2. Kung Fu Panda, 3. Madagascar, 4. How to Train Your Dragon, and 5. Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron, and if all of you agree with me, reply a comment down below mine your favorites and like their videos and subscribe to their channels honestly!
Chill, Shrek 2>Shrek 1. And for me KFP2 and The last wish are better. Then The Prince of Egypt clears all four of these by a mile. But to each their own I guess🤷🏾♂️
