same. I think they'll be able to pull it off really well as long as our Fiona doesn't make the farts and burps awkward. our Shrek and Fiona are both great actors and singers, so that's the only part I'm kinda worried about
pretty good reenactement, solid overall! my issue with Fiona, I think, is that she doesn't act as if she was really hurt by Shrek when she says "You chuckled. When I said lifetime of misery, you chuckled". Something important about this moment: Fiona is actually hurt by Shrek laughing. That's why she starts singing. And because their experiences are pretty similar, they are able to bound and fall in love. Here, Fiona is mainly playing it like a tight-ass princess that is pissed. That's a minor detail, but the way Sutton made Fiona's backstory matter in the main musical was by being genuinely hurt by Shrek's chuckle.

Fiona messed up the line "on the walls the days were added" by singing years instead of day but besides that it's pretty great for a high school production with a moderately low budget
Silence Dogood i think they had it roughly the same... fiona’s description sounds waaay too much like solitary confinement, more than 15 days of which is classified as torture by the UN. most people who go through more than 10 years of solitary confinement end up with extreme mental repercussions. Fiona lived through 20 years of it
I disagree. I think they equally had it horrible but, A girl growing up and learning how to deal with her body changing, having periods for the fist time all alone, having no toilet. That’s unsanitary and she’s probably had hella UTIs and infections. having no sunlight and vitamin D and C, that’s unhealthy af. Honestly if this was real life, she’d be dead. Can’t imagine not knowing what a period is and just bleeding out of my body and not knowing what to do. That’s terrifying.

Yeah, I didn't really like her Fiona. But you gotta hand it to her, I think that's more like the original Fiona than most others you see on here. You have to take in her past, understand that she spent 20+ years by herself in a tower. So she didn't exactly learn manners, or even any lady-like features, she should be kinda bossy and gross since she's lived by herself for so long, and has never had anyone tell her what to do. And you cannot expect her to be extremely likeable since she has no people skills. I think her interpretation is excellent, even if I don't particularly like it.
@Des Tiny... On the contrary, Fiona was so adamant in following the tradition of how a princess should be rescued that she probably practiced how to act like one all those years in the tower. You should remember that she was sent there when she was 9 years old so her mother probably added some books about proper princess etiquette when she was left on the tower.
They both sound amazing! The voices are just like Fiona and shrek I loved this however sometimes they kind of overacted a lot with movements or the tone of their voice. And they kept looking at the crowd the entire time it wasn’t like they’re ere having an argument in the original

I am not being mean but I think when Fiona says "Yeah" on the last one she is kinda on a high not when she is not spost to be. And when shrek says "your princess" its meant to be "a princess"
Ok... Not that this wasn't good in it's own right but why do they sound like they're complaining? I'm not basing this from the broadway musical but from the song itself. You can actually tell by the lyrics alone that instead of complaining about their problems, they are actually trying to out smug the other.
