The Revel is new from Shrewd aimed at the top recurve archers. It is a thin rigid stabilizer. archeryshop.com... Steven Hann Archery Supplies www,archeryshop.com.au
Hi Steve! The usual lecture on the arrows and shock absorber excellent. You speak and explain at At eye level To anyone who wants to shoot an archery. Thank you very much health and success Yoram Steiner Israel.
Looks awesome, I'm thinking about trying it for my compound. What would you say is the max weight I could comfortably run on them? (I currently have 13 ounces up front)
Since I have been considering the 2 as well and was watching this video also to get more opinions on teh Shrewd, here's my take: some people are saying the Avalon ones cannot hold much weight at all, some are saying its does fine. Considering that they are claiming to use 48T carbon, while everyone else is using 46T at best even on $200+ stabilizers, I'm willing to bet Avalon is lying. I was considering getting the Avalon for side rods as they are much shorter and more likley to survive weight being put on, but its upto you. I would try them first. My decision has been to get the Shrewd for long rod and side rods, because I am only spending $150 dollars more compared to the worst acceptable setup for me, and maybe $80 more compared to a comparable but much thicker setup, and the Shrewd is still much better. For a future setup, this is as good as it gets. And I did not make the decision based on looks or some BS, I don't care if my side rods match with the long rod or not, I wanted the best value, buy it only once setup that functions without complaints. Somehow the Shrewd Revel is the one that turned out to be the best value. If I swapped out for anything cheaper and decided to upgrade later, I'd still end up paying much more, so my choice has been to save up a bit more now, and get the thing that will last forever and I will never want to upgrade. I'll add, that I'm very serious about archery so spending the extra money here will bring me an equatable value of pleasure. Few other things in my life would benefit from the money I'd save by going with a compromised setup. I understand that is not the case for everyone. Hope you make the decision that is right for you.
