Shri Badrinath Dham is one of the holiest pilgrimage sites for the Hindus and is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Situated beside the river Alaknanda, Badrinath town is also part of the Panch Badri temples which include Yog Dhyan Badri, Bhavishya Badri, Adi Badri and Vriddha Badri, along with Badrinath temple.
Located on the northern terminus of National Highway 7, Mana is a Himalayan village in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. Perched at an altitude of 3,200 meters, Mana is the last village before the Mana Pass and is 26 kilometres from the border of India and Tibet. Known as Manibhdrapuri in ancient times Mana is closely related to the Mahabharata era and it is assumed that Vedavyas composed the Mahabharata in a cave in this village.
