I've been saying for years that there is nothing elegant or complicated about proper Italian cooking. It's simple and earthy. Proof positive! I can't wait to make this.
Here is a breakdown of what I paid here in NJ: 4 Scallops (wild caught): $5.33 16 shrimp (wild caught): $8.28 Garlic: $0.60 Lemon: $0.79 3 Tbsp. Butter: $0.40 1/2 cup Dry White Wine ($15/750ml bottle): $2.40 1 cup Plain Breadcrumbs: $0.60 Total for 4 servings = $18.40 ($4.60 per serving) Also, you do not need a chefs range/oven to cook this in. A toaster oven/air fryer works just as well and might even cook faster.

We had this for dinner but I think the wine ruined this recipe. I worked for a famous Chef He Cooked for the Queen and several Presidents and he told me Never cook with wine.
How would you make a scampi sauce for sautéed shrimp and scallops on angel hair pasta? I want to try it on the shells like this, too. This looks really good!
