Clare, you are…. AMAZING! How could you paint under so bad weather conditions! You are always SO HAPPY as well as your dear husband! I always love to watch you painting! pity sometimes I do not understand very well what you are meaning, but ok in a general way compare your words with your brushstrokes. Love your colors, mixes, everything! 👏 congratulations and always very happy paintings. HUG for both.🇵🇹👏👏👏🤗🤗
Ah thank you Milu, we really appreciate you watching, it was tough with that wind!! I’m sorry you don’t understand it all but hopefully the main points. With hugs back Clare and mr B x
Clair, always love to watch your demos, this one especially. It is such a complex scene and it is amazing how you bring it to canvas. Very inspiring! Thank you and your husband for doing this. Would love to attend your workshop someday. ❤❤❤
So lovely Clare and what a blowy day. It is really lovely when Mr B zooms in really close to what you are painting and when you are mixing colours. Thank you for sharing 😊💖
Geez!, Do you ever get to paint in an area where you aren’t fighting the weather and not getting battered about by the wind?.. My heart goes out to you! You always do such a wonderful job with your painting despite the elements!💕💕💕 Maybe Mr.B could come up with some type of wind break ? Maybe visquine you could put around ya’ll. Plastic screen. Just a thought? Love you💕
Welcome to South Carolina! I hope you got to enjoy some of our beautiful weather. I love your work, watching and listening to you and Mr. B. I love the soft colors in this painting. Beautiful!
I enjoy your videos so much....even with the howling wind. Well done to you and Mr.B. I often keep them on while I'm painting in the studio for company ☺🎨 I also loved the little egret friend that joined in :)
Im amazed with the blue on the white boats at the beginning. it's something i can't get right. I was genuinely nervous when you did that and said to myself, "That's way too dark." When looking at the overall painting at the end, did i see the magic white boats appearing and said to myself, "she's done it again"!!!!
Amazing work especially under those conditions. Great commentary as well. Mr. B’s camerawork really makes the video interesting - love how he breaks away to show the scenery and activity and zooms in to show detail in the painting and the subject.
Very enjoyable you did well to not be phased by the weather conditions. The painting has lovely light, colour and a nice “painterly “ look. Looking forward to more videos from your US trip.
Hello Clare. Glad to see you again. I love your seascapes with boats and this one is no exception. The colors are always well chosen, well done. Have a good stay in the USA with your husband.
My laptop almost blew off my lap watching this video LOL Whew! That was some wind. Beautiful painting, I even like the smudge ❤ Enjoyed the video, that's a lovely location, I was hoping that the pelican would dive in for some fish 😀 glad the egret got one for your video!
Just beautiful!!! South Carolina is such a beautiful place to paint and you did it with tropical winds!! Wish I could have come south to join in on your workshop!
I really enjoyed listening and watching your thought process as you painted this scene. I thought at the beginning the composition looked far too complicated so it was fascinating to watch how you handled it by just painting the shapes and then suddenly it all started to pull together. I loved the muted colours too. You did a grand job. Thank you for sharing it with us.
Oh My Gosh!!! I just discovered you a few months ago. I was looking up more of your videos and saw that you were in SC...I live in SC!!! I would've taken your workshop if I'd have known and I follow Field and Flow, but must've missed any announcements about you (but I didn't know about you back then, so...). I look forward to watching your videos and hope if you come back to the States that I can attend.
Thank you Yvonne for your support! I did love my time in SC, it was a blessing! I am back in America in May 2024 for the plein air convention in North Carolina, maybe see you then!👩🏻🎨❤️
I have been to Mt. Pleasant, there are some good restaurants there. It’s beautiful a long the coast of South Carolina. I once lived about 2 hrs from there in SC. 🦩🌴🌊🛥️

Clare!!! I wish I had known you were in my neck of the woods, I would have stopped by to say hi !! I live in Mount Pleasant and actually just uploaded a short video on my channel of a sunset at Shem Creek earlier this week !! Hope you had a great time here and enjoyed some of the great food "we" have to offer !!
Hi Andy oh that’s a shame!! We would have uploaded this video a week earlier too- had trouble with the sound. It’s a lovely part of the world you live in 💛enjoyed and the food and very friendly people- we’ll be back one day…
@@ClareBowenArtist Hi Clare. Yes it is indeed very nice over here..... quite different from The Netherlands/Amsterdam (where I am originally from) though 😁!! PS. I loved the video !!
Clare I love your live painting demos in Cornwall and love SC) mind the crocs! Do you do workshops elsewhere, and is it glass or acrylic in your pochade box?
Hi Jenny We are doing 4 workshops next year from our Cornish home in Newlyn. Here the link to more info on my website. Do get in touch by email if you’d like to be added to the list. clarebowen.co.uk/workshops-youtube/ It’s acrylic in my pochade. 😊🎨
Hi Lori, you can take oil paints. Put them in a sealed container and and label them artists colours not oil paint. I don’t take linseed / turps I buy it there.
