As a Type 1 Diabetic myself, and my 3 year old son having been diagnosed back in March, thank you. I do not know her, but this means a lot. Thank you for helping her pay her medical bills. They are not cheap. Thank you for being an amazing person and helping someone with this chronic illness. It is incredible that you would do this for someone. I have so much respect for you man.

Hella respect for Shroud, I've been watching Fern for a while now. It's amazing how a "simple" gesture can chance someone's life, even if it isn't for long term. In that moment she was happy and I hope she still is, we should embrace happiness and help each other out. We don't know how meaningful a simple hello, wave or a smile can be to a person.

I can relate to this streamer she is a type one diabetic and if people don't know why her medical bills are so high it's because if you see on the top of her left arm that's call an insulin pump and it cost a lot of money to get that type of pump. What it cost me was 7000 dollars to actually get the pump and after that you will have to pay for the insulin pods that attach to your body and one them can cost between 50-100 dollars per pod and she will need to change that every couple of days and that can cost a lot in the long term and also she will need to pay for insurance for the insulin and so much more i am so grateful that I can pay for mine but a lot of people can't who are type one diabetic and what shroud did changed her life forever and she will be grateful for it. If people are wandering what insulin pump it is. It's called an omni pump. Thank you shroud for helping people out.
Design Toxic, I’m a type one diabetic myself and I’m 13 so I’m lucky enough to have the money for this stuff. But when it comes to having to deal with it as an adult it is probably hard because of how much money you spend on it. I wish that no one has to deal with this.
Just to make sure I respect the help that shroud gives to her but it doesn't have to be as dramatic as she shows it. I've got type 1 from almost 5 years. Monthly cost for my insulin and stuff is about 30$. I could say thats the cheapest option but as long as you control it thats ALMOST the same as this expensive equipment she's using. Anyway with money for better equipments she will suerly get an easier and better treatment with her disease. :)
@@theskywalker8416 You're probably referring to type 2 diabetes. People usually get type 2 later in life due to poor health choices. Type 1 is hereditary and can pop up at any point. I got type 1 when I was 7 but had the signs for maybe an entire year before then. It's not something that can be changed or helped. It sucks.

Shroud didn't even know she existed. A subscriber gave a donation and asked shroud to help. Had he paid the tuition himself, then the title would be correct, but he did not. In fact, I don't think he personally donated anything. All his subscribers did.

Mr Mercerlous The thing is... In Europe we pay a small portion of our monthly income in taxes. It is easy to pay a fee euros. And that give us access to free health care. It's much easier to pay small portions every month/year whatever you pay, than dropping millions everytime you are sick
Rafael Fonseca we paid weekly and it depends how much we get paid say we get 400 at least 50 of that goes to taxes, I’ve not been to a doctor in ten years let alone hospital, so that’s enough to pay for at least three hospitals to be build, but yeah some people are ill not by choice daily so it all depends which side your life is, I don’t feel anything is wrong at all I’m fit and healthy I could be paying another 10 years at 50£ a week and still never have to use doctors or hospital so what you said was true but really made no sense, you pay if you need doctors or hospital we pay regardless
