Shuck is my FIRST comedy OG. His tutelage helped create the comic I am today. He was instrumental in my start. The very first show I ever did, first time ever touching a mic was opening for him in 2011. Eleven years later, I'm the biggest comedian to come outta Dallas SINCE him. I seen Shuckey on Uptown Comedy club and the phrase stuck in my mind. After that I couldn't stop saying it, to the point where people thought I was him. Even had a relative go to his show expecting to see me 😮. When she got home she told me about it and I lmao. Till this day 20 years later people greet me with Shuckey ducky quack quack. Shuckey ducked will not be forgotten for a looonnnggggggg while 😁😂😂
Awe Shuckey Duckey! Now that I know that he’s from Dallas, it brings back the memory of my grandfather (Poppa). In East Texas and Louisiana, the phrase “awe shuckins” was a phrase tied to anything that was extremely comedic. When Poppa had a heartfelt laugh, he would say that. The term Shuckey Duckey is used in the same way. He just added a rhyme to the phrase.

Thanks to this show, I find out that Steve Harvey helped MANY comedians (including Pierre) when he made it back in the day. I haven’t liked or supported him since the Steve Harvey show because of all the negativity (especially his divorce from second wife) but now I’m looking at him different? More respect for sure
