Ken teaches you how to prepare fresh corn on the cob without those pesky corn silks. We were asked to remove the music and did. Sorry it took awhile to get it done. Enjoy
"Whats up guys it's your boy xdonkeyx here with another how to video but before we get started be sure to like, subscribe, ring that notification bell so you can see more great 10 minute how-to-videos in the future. Shout out to today's sponsor, some mobile game you'll never play. Corn. It's yellow, delicious, and fun to eat. But where does corn come from? Let's take a look at some cornfields and other shit you don't want to know and we'll do the actual how to in the last 90 seconds."
@@shutupwesley7744gotta hide the 90 seconds of how-to somewhere in the middle of the video. You don't want people being able to easily skip to the end and avoid the fluff. Plus, you need the last minute or so for the outro where you explain again everything you already explained.
Well done Sir. I just noticed this video is 9 years old. I sure hope you are still around, kicking and sharing your wisdom and laughter. You're a blessing, Sir. Reminds me lots of my ole PawPaw. He was a treasured hoot. Blessings to you and your family. 🙏
@@Watchyn_Yarwood Hey there, hope all's well with you. You look like you have some vintage stuff on your channel. I subscribed and will check your stuff out later. Stay cool, best wishes. ✌️😎👍
@@Watchyn_Yarwood I understand. All of us have a channel. We may not have anything posted. You have a "Playlist" selection (we all do). I took a brief look. Go see. Just use your screen name. Either way, enjoy the rest of your day.
This was the first time (years ago) I ever saw this neat trick. Among all the other videos showing how to do it, this will always be my favorite. The instructor is adorable.
"What's Eating Dan" sent me here and I am glad he did. I have been microwaving corn in the husk (4 mins per ear) but Ken taught me New Tricks. I didnt know about cutting off the stem and shaking. Man, it is early September and I am going to see who has corn I can buy TODAY.
4 minutes is to long unless your using a lower wattage microwave. Mirai is done in 1 1/2- 2m think popcorn a slightly different beast but its usually done in 4 min. If you leave it in the husk it will keep steaming rigtup to the reveal. Bonus f you make tamales cutting the end off gives you perfect succesion for wrapping them. Ever watch a person butter corn with a knife and think wtf If Fresh Bread is being served use that a perfect pair, no bread or brush a fork with a works in a pinch. why people think a flat knife on round ear makes sense is beyond me.
@@dereksmith6318I have a newer microwave so I thought I could speed the process (not that it's grueling lol) by doing 1 min for 2 at a time like another video said. I had to search out this one bcz I did follow it last year & it was easy. Turned out I needed 4-5 min per ear just like Ken said.😮
Thank you sir! I'm an older man also and need all the help I can get! Great video and it was easy to follow along. No loud music it was short and to the point.😊😊
His was the first video I ever watched of cooking corn in the microwave, and I had saved it into my favorites. I was looking for it again tonight, but couldn't find it, and then found this reposting. This gentleman definitely is adorable.
Well I tried this method yesterday, and I’ll be darned! It worked perfectly and the corn was perfectly cooked and absolutely no silk remained on the corn just as the gentleman stated. Thank you 🙏😊
@@groowanderer No, once the corn comes out of the microwave you take it out of the husk as per the video, season to your taste and enjoy. Its fast simple and delicious😊
fantastic! I went and bought lots of corn on the cob...My son and I are eating it right now....I love corn on the cob, and this makes it so EASY! Thank you, Ken!
Sir, thank you so much for this music free video. It made watching your instructions so easy. No having to turn the sound up to try to hear the recipe instructions, then scramble to turn annoying music down to avoid having our ears assaulted by ear drum blasting music. Wish all video makers would show their viewers the respect you gave us with this video. Wishing you and yours all the best life has to offer each of you.
My neighbor cooked corn off your video and it was perfect. She loves to cook and liked it! So here I am at her place watching this. Thanks so much. Great video you made!
You're the man Ken!! TY forever! What's great about this video is it's always here, so when I forget, all I gotta do is come over to youtube and blamo! Thanks again!!
I just done my corn on the cob like this and it was the best tasting corn ever...thank you for sharing this idea...I will always do my corn on the cob like this from now on
I know it’s been 9 years since your post.. but does the corn 🌽 taste better than boiling. Also @4 minutes per ear is wise to only cook 2 @a time? Thanks 😊
I have cooked up to 4 at a time at about 14 - 16 minutes and it still turns out well. It's just so much easier than sucking and 🙂boiling and doesn't heat up the kitchen@@edwinrodeo
how did I get to be 64 years old and not know this. Ok, well microwaves have only been around since my 20's but I cant believe this is the first time I've ever seen this! Thank You
