Shukto Recipe - কি এমন পদ্ধতিতে বানালে অনুষ্ঠান বাড়ির শুক্তো এতো টেস্টি হয় ফলো করুন এই রেসিপি
Ingredients:
2 cups of mixed vegetables (bitter gourd, eggplant, raw banana, drumsticks, potatoes, etc.)
1 tablespoon of ginger paste
1 tablespoon of cumin seeds
1 tablespoon of mustard seeds
1 tablespoon of poppy seeds
1 tablespoon of turmeric powder
1 tablespoon of sugar
1 teaspoon of salt
3-4 tablespoons of mustard oil
1 bay leaf
2-3 dry red chillies
1 tablespoon of ghee (clarified butter)
Instructions:
Cut the vegetables into small pieces and wash them thoroughly.
Heat mustard oil in a pan and add the cumin seeds, mustard seeds, bay leaf, and dry red chillies. Fry them until they start to crackle.
Add the mixed vegetables to the pan and sauté them for a few minutes.
Add ginger paste, turmeric powder, salt, and sugar to the vegetables and mix well.
Add water to the pan and cover it with a lid. Cook the vegetables on low flame until they become tender.
Grind the poppy seeds in a grinder and add it to the pan. Mix well.
Add a tablespoon of ghee to the pan and stir it for a few minutes.
Your Bengali Sukto is now ready to be served. Enjoy it with rice or roti.
Note: Sukto is a mildly bitter dish, but if you find it too bitter, you can add a little more sugar to balance the taste.
