Dear Martin, your story was very very helpful in waking me up, a few years ago! I think it also was so terrible that at the Convention they had you and your wife, like ID’d and how crazy they acted! I had come back to Meetings 2010, and by Convention Time, I was wondering why they didn’t give me an ID Badge. I went to ask my elders there, but they made a big embarrassing big deal, which really hurt! Now, I think it’s probably because they assumed me as Enemy Until Proven Loyal (to the Org) So they humiliated me, I believe on purpose! They seem to find ways to hurt people who haven’t worshiped them continuously throughout their lives! Also, I recently found out about you and your wife’s loss of your son, and the time not find him before that! My family had our loss of my twin brother (who my JW mom was shunning) and we heart the worst…It was hard. We don’t exactly know what happened. The one thing that at least gives me comfort is that he was able to escape the cult, and have some time free to decide, and actually pursue wishes. I’m so glad you and your wife also escaped together that cult! My sincere condolences go out to you and your wife, though, on the loss of your son.❤️❤️

My sincere condolences. My JW aunt died about a year ago. My parents faded decades ago and are inactive. Well one of my uncles texted to tell my mom her sister was going into hospice. My mom tried to call back asking if she could say goodbye to my aunt . These people only called my mom back after her death to invite my mom to her memorial service. The grief eventually caught up to my mom and she had to get group therapy. My 9 year old son has autism. I know the social challenges that come with autism. I’m so deeply sorry for your loss.
I lost my son in 2021 under unexplainable circumstances. I’m still devastated. I want to thank you for allowing us on your journey. If there is a God, he knows the beautiful heart of our amazing children. I hope it is so. It means that somehow we will embrace our children again. If God is Love and we are love, then we have an assurance.

My mum does the exact same. Has been over the years. I figured out it would happen when my dad was away on a trip. This was when I was DF amd trying to get reinstated. When I woke up and questioned the teachings I got blocked, then just before the memorial this year I got a few texts, pictures of my family, nephews etc , a reminder of the memorial, her holiday trip after the memorial, asked if I watched the broadcast because it was amazing(5he one about sisters wearing trousers etc) ... I told her respectfully I won't be attending and what I thought of the broadcast, man mad rules etc. Only to be immediately blocked (again). So sorry about your son, and it it's even worse your mum is blocking you at this time.
The shunning policy is not Biblical. It is cruel, backward, and unjust. It has a detrimental effect on the emotional well-being of the one who is being shunned. Jesus Christ never shunned anyone, not even Satan the Devil. I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your son. Thank you for sharing your experience in that cult.
Just because you leave a cult doesn’t mean you have to be accepting of all lifestyles. Nobody should be PROUD to have a LgBT son. I don’t get why people leave JW’s and become super accepting of everything fringe. If your daughter wanted to do sx work I would hope that you would at least tell her the risk of that lifestyle vs just fully embracing everything she wants to do. 🤦🏾
All religion is man made. What do you think? That a god flies down from his realm (which a lot the religious people say is outside time and space whatever that means) and writes the bible and other instructions for people? Anyone over 5 years old should be able to see how outrageous this is.
What you all need to do is take it up with the Creator who had the bible written. It is his word that states his people are to avoid unrepentant sinners with no exceptions. In the old days under the Mosaic law sinners were put to death.

Do you not judge those inside, while God judges those outside? “Remove the wicked person from among yourselves.” What do you think it means to stop keeping company with or not eating with or remove the wicked person? Who do you think the wicked person is? When you remove them from yourselves what do you think God's is telling you to do? Other scriptures say bad association spoil useful habits or a little leaven spoils the whole lump. Who do you think the verse is calling a brother?
Trying to compare what other religions do or practice against God's people is of no sense. God's people are DIFFERENT to what the world in general practices. I don’t think it is appropriate for a JW to come in during a difficult time a family is going through and try to Bible thump them. It’s not appropriate at all! This man lost his son and you are worried about trying to Bible thump shunning, when his family should be comforting him. Actually your comment proves how inhumane JW’s can be, because his family should be ashamed for not providing loving support. Also check out 2 Corinthians chapter 2. Did you offer any condolences to Martin or his family ?
@@jenniferm6141 : When do people need a doctor? When they are well? Or when they are sick? JWs are the only ones who can comfort anyone grieving. Because they teach what the Bible teaches. Rather than telling people that 'The dead person is safe in the arms of Jesus' or 'He is burning away in some hell fire'.
@@jimjuri6490 why can’t you show grace and kindness to a grieving parent? He is suffering a tremendous loss of his child. Even if you don’t agree with his lifestyle or beliefs; extending condolences toward another human being is a simple act of kindness. If you were to go to a door of a neighbor and they told you someone they loved died; would you not offer condolences? Why not pray for Sam and his family? How are they different than a person at a door you knock on? Would you not offer a prayer at the householders home for their grief ? Or do JW’s only offer condolences for their own members in good standing ? Those are my thoughts that I hope you take to heart .

Since Martin has been a whistleblower for the CSA problem that JW’s have you can’t show him any kindness ? Since this man has spoken up to protect children he is not worthy ? I think you may want to read Matthew 18:6. Real shame JW’s behave like this toward people that bring light to child abuse .
Go see your son now no more shuning please go make it up with him no come back or are they other issues your not saying it’s not aways religion is it that cause family’s to split but if just this go see you son tell him j w do not shun eny more you can still have traction shop with it or is it deeper than that is there more issues go try to talk to him all the best hope u can patch things up
