As we "turn" the key we open a "door" between our conscious and subconscious mind allowing us to advance beyond our present state of perceived limited awareness and return to our original state of unlimited awareness...Self/God realization. It works the same for everyone but yet differently because of individualization.

Bruce Zhou: I'm the Sanskrit translator for this Mantra work under Malaysian Usnisa Vijaya Buddhist Association. This is 房山石经version translated by the National Guru of Tang Dynasty 唐。不空三藏国师。The missing phrase that you're referring to is at the end of the 5th assembly in 不空 version. But, in 唐。般剌密諦大师version, that phrase was at the beginning of the 1st assembly. Hope it helps.
Thank you so much for providing us with this precious translation 🙇 i was reluctant for more than a year. Finally, I decided to memorize surangama mantra using this version of yours. Took me two weeks to memorize the entire five chapters/sections. I can chant it now from memory. Tbh, many times over i still forget some words and have to look at the text again. However, I won't give up. I know one day I will be able to chant surangama mantra fluently from memory.🙇
10 January 2022. An update. Now I am able to chant this mantra from memory, but I notice that I have to chant everyday otherwise some words will be forgotten and have to look at the text again. Master Hsuan Hua wrote that to make this mantra more efficacious, we must chant this mantra one time every day AND we must recite 108 times these words (which are in the mantra): "om anale anale visade visade vira vajra dhare bandha bandhani vajrapani phat hum trum phat svaha"
Most of translation is correct and it's sounding by trained ones.However translation and it's recitation requires some correction which can be done by Sanskrit knowing scholars in some Ashrams in our country Bharat.Neverthless very good and highly appreciable effort by u.Om Namo Siddharthum.

Sadly India lost this wealth of knowledge but I feel so fortunate to be able to learn this knowledge from teachers from the other parts of the world. Its a buddhist mantra.. I've seen lots of God and Goddess names from Sanatan Dharma ( Hinduism) . Such as Brahma, Indra, Rudra (Shiv), Uma-Pati, Narayana etc.

There are many ways of promoting this Shurangama Mantra. One of the ways is to wear this Mantra as an amulet to prevent us from evils, bad luck , attacked by black magic etc. Besides chanting , our heart shall follow the Diamond Sutra no specific attachment and examining the Shurangama Sutra in details to benefit all the living beings.
There are some people having wrong concepts of promoting the Buddhism, for example putting the Shurangama Mantra as talisman or amulet for people is good way of practising Buddhism. But Many will assume once the amulet or talisman not wearing then we become no respect to Buddhas. But we follow the Diamond Sutra Wisdom we certainly will not have wrong ideas. The Diamond Sutra say when there is the presence of Buddha if we respect it. If we all times using the Diamond Sutra, all the wrong ideas wheter illusions or delusions will be absolutely vanished and disappeared. As such All the Buddhist disciples shall use The GREAT IMPORTANCE of Diamond Sutra to overcome all the obstacles to achieve enlightment in the fastest way.
This is really wonderful, thank you! I suppose at the last 3 line it would be written as " namas Tathāgatāya " instead namah stathāgatāya ( 'namas' from namaste , but there is no word in Sanksrit as 'stathāgatāya' as far I know.) Anyhow, this is a great dhāraṇī, a real blessing.
@@MrAlpha235 the words "kritām vidyām cchindayāmi kīlayāmī" mean "to break the magic/spells and stop them" The name of gods or cultivators(enlightened/unenlightened) before those words mean to stop the spells/magics done by them and to stop them

I have been chanting The Shurangama Mantra in Mandarin version by heart for almost 17 years. It takes 8 minutes to complete the mantra chanting. Recently I decided to chant in Sankrit . I started about 2 weeks ago and It took me almost 25 minutes to chant. I am happy now I can chant more smoothly and took me 15 minutes to complete chanting this Shurangama Mantra. I wish I can memorize the Sankrit version as I do in Mandarin 阿彌陀佛

I have also been finding, but it was said to be no longer existed. That's what the google said. However, I found out there is different type of sanskrit, just like japanese which has three type of different japanese language.
I saw some comments which is funny, of course can chant this at night and everywhere, similar with Heart Sutras or Diamond Sutra. There are however some chants from Rig-Veda which should never be chant by lay-people. Traditionally, there were chanted by Brahmins never by lay-person, if they are mispronounced or fumbled at chanting there will be curses, people might die, empire collapse. These hold the key to the other dimensions and some here, others in the Cosmo. Namaste to my fellow Dharma practitioners.🙏🏽

Our goal as Buddhists is to reach perfect enlightenment, hence we should not be attached to anything, otherwise we are still chasing after our wondering thoughts, arousing our 5 skandhas, leading to speech karma and and action karma, which further promotes collective karma. Just as Buddhas and Bodhisattva Mahatsattvas have no suffering as they have no attachments, yet full of unconditional compassion and infinite wisdom.
That's something I need to l inform how to use this Shurangama Mantra once you know how to Chant. Remember while chanting your finger or lotus hand shall turn around because the canopy or rather we say "Big White Canopy" above of you to turn around "法轮常转". Remember! How big is this White Canopy Coverage will depend on How often you use your Diamond Sutra.
While you are trying to help somebody than only you turn the BIG WHITE CANOPY above you. First you should be familiar to memorise the Mantra by listening to you heart Chanting. This can be done by you just turn on the player whole night before your sleep. Half way midnight, when you are awake your heart will be synchronized with this player music. Then you are listening to your heart chanting. After two months, this Mantra shall come out chanting from your heart automatically without memorising by hard.
This Mantra have endless of Buddha at the rim of big canopy I have seen before. We could only afford to have to those Buddhas destinated with us. The most important point here is the Mantra come out from your heart automatically. Your shall be following what from your heart.
