The main thing I'm hearing is the KSM 137 lack a little bottom at distance and have a nice clear transient, in A/B with the U87Ai, but I am enjoying both sounds.
Wow the difference is very apparent. The Neumann has full bodied lows and smoother top end. I like the KSM 137 but I have to say that the Neumann wins this no contest.
@@levijessegonzalez3629 it has a lot to do with the Neumann being LDC.. less highend, more lowend... and.. almost 3D like representaton (wow).. but the KSM 137 is a gem!... its no u87.. but that is also not the purpose of it.
If you have a nice room that sounds really good, then you want to use a mic like the U87 over the KSM137. I'm not sure this goes in every thinkable setup.
Agreed. The 87's get blurry in the busy parts and the 137's stay defined and precise. Both sound nice but if it's clarity and accuracy you're looking for, it's 137 all day.
