I'm putting the new pump in my boat in a couple days but just from testing it it seems like it pumps as much as the old rule its replacing that is 2x the size. Shurflow freshwater pumps are amazing so I'm sure I'll be pleased with this product as well ^^
Sorry, that's a good catch. My testing indicates that most pump ratings, from all manufacturers, are generally exaggerated. We tested 25 pumps at two discharge heights and four voltages to find that very few could pump 3' at 13.6V. Shurflo does make a good product, though.
This video is misleading a little, it's only the 'large' 1500 & 2000 pumps that are rated at 6' of head whereas the 'smaller' pumps are rated at zero feet. I bought a 1000 and at 6' it's rated at 650gph according to the back of the package.
Just fitted third bilge pump one the impeller broke off the other one kept blowing the fuses then the first I fitted lasted one season. not fit for purpose hence my boat had water over floorboards.A very dissatisfied customer.
