Very cool collection, i remember back in the late eighties me and the neighborhood kids having those cheap ones you could buy sold as toys, they wouldn't stick in anything but then the whole lawn dart ban happened and suddenly every toy in existence that was even vaguely weapon shaped except squirt guns was suddenly politically incorrect, i need to get me some of those cold steel ones, they would be fun to throw. Cold steel would have been cool company to have around back then because they have so many neat cheap things to play with!
@@thedojomartialarts I practice throwing bo shuriken with regular nails, very inexpensive and fun to practice with, because in the uk throwing knives are legal, but multi pointed hira shuriken are not.
Hi. (Mr. Norcross here answering this one.) I do not know enough about him to make a video. I am not an authority on him to have an opinion. Thanks for asking, though.
If I had a dollar for each shuriken I've lost over the decades...... Is your video going to go into hand-to-hand techniques? We used rubber Senban in our fists with the points sticking out in the four directions, for natural body responses using the Godai method. I'm very aware that you've learned these techniques, but most people don't realize how devastating a shuriken is as a striking, slashing, clawing and ripping tool. Thank you for this vid, sir!
Yes. Maybe one day we can. We do use shuriken in hand to hand combat here at the dojo. It is awesome as a raking, cutting tool. The beauty of learning Taijutsu is that nearly anything can be placed in the hands and used as self-defense tools. Cool, ain't it?
