The players are there for fans entertainment, we don't really care if they think they play too much, the guy on the street works a lot harder than a footballer for a fraction of the money, but he has to just put up with the hours as are set out or look for a new job. some players don't play extra games and still turn up on a Saturday and play shite. as for Internationals scrap the useless competitions

This whole conversation is infuriating because people are so short sighted that they don't realise that through jealousy and bitterness about how much someone earns, they can't see that sometimes, less is more. Slightly less games, better quality, longer careers, more enjoyment. Its not even the number of games that's the issue, it's the fact that we are getting in to a situation where the demands are year round, they don't even get an off season. When is their body supposed to recover so that they can repair injuries? And what about the staff from the clubs that aren't players on amazing wages… they also only get to see their families and have holidays etc when the season ends, for some clubs now, there will be no off season! not enough games in my opinion clubs have massive squads and reserve players for a reason if a manager is unwilling to rotate players in his squad and his players are coming out saying their is to many games then that's on the managers to sort out these "high level players" you are speaking about think they will play every single game in a season but that's never the case the only games that are ruining football are the stupid international games get rid of them simple

These football clubs don't have a team they have squads. If these players that get paid 400grand a week are too tired to play then use the squad and rest them. Its that simple. That's what a squad is for.
