The reason he mentions thr Ferrari are that it was part of his contract deal and strong relationship with owners of juventus and Pep basically mandated everyone drive the same club car. It's all explained in his very interesting biography. His form at Barcelona was actually really good until he way shoved onto the left wing which is where it all started.

All Ibrahinovic was saying is that Guardiola should have been frank, honest and direct with him that he didn't fancy him, he didn't fit the system he wanted to play and he should find a new club, despite Ibrahimovic scoring all the goals that could've been asked of him. Instead, Guardiola p-ssed him about and avoided him. In Ibrahinovic's mind, that's not how a real man behaves, because he comes from a culture where you respect the other person enough to tackle issues head on.

The reason Zlatan mentioned the car was because the 1st thing Gordiola told him upon signing with Barca was that here players dont come to training in Ferraris. Zlatan deliberately breaking that rule was not to show he had a ferrari (as Simon seems to think) but to show he was no longer par of the team.

Good leaders are constantly evolving. If a leader isn't growing and adapting to experience and circumstance, they probably are not in the "good" or "great" category. Maybe a more seasoned Pep, like the one we see at City, would have handled Zlatan differently and wouldn't have had the relationship blow up like it did. Or maybe Zla was always prone to burning bridges when he was in his prime, when he felt he had the authority to influence formation and style of play. I do love the drama, though. A fun topic to kick around.

Simon needs to go watch the full interview. Zlatan listen and he said for about 6-7months he didnt bring in the Ferrari just as pep instructed him not to. He also said he spoke to pep about him not playing well and.d style of play and asked pep what was the issue , that he needed clarity from pep as to why he wasnt starting so he could work on it and get better and pep never told him , this is what or why he had issues with pep, nothing else. And after a long wait from pep no reason ,he realised he had to leave , so he kind of forced his move out by being zlatan, beacuse he said it him self he tried to be someone else for pep ,he tried. Seems simon didnt watch the full clip.

Simon Jordan is the most contrived human being on daytime radio. Its an act he puts on, to hide his insecurities, we all are insecure about stuff in life, you don't need to be all knowing and all wise for people to respect you. He's so afraid of being wrong about something, his brain sees it as being humiliated. So even answering a simple question he overcompensates, never says 1 or 2 words, always talks on and on and on to show some knowledge of the ins and outs and histrory and likilhoods and this and that and all he needed to say was 'yes' or 'no'!

The best coach in the world back then was Mourinho, who bodied Pep out the UCL with Inter Milan. Pep hasn't achieved much more since 2010. 1 more UCL with Barça, an underwhelming stint at Bayern and a UCL at City after being the biggest spender in football history (he was supposed to win those Prem titles). Yes, his teams play great football, but its underpinned by insane spending that no one else has. Also, Ibra isn't the only one to say this stuff. Eto'o also says similar things. I think if Piers Morgan asks for an interview, Ibra is entitled to answer questions. All that other stuff about not liking him mentioning a Ferrarri is irrelevant.

About the fire thing, is being your word. Its about speaking from your inner being, not the word itself. Its like talking about loving someone. Its not just a feeling. Its an intention and action behind it. What he means that he will burn him is that he is not at the same commitment level like Zlatan is. He wouldn't be true to his word as Zlatan is. So when Zlatan says you gonna get burned is that Zlatan is more true to his word and that will eventually show that Guardiola is not. Look, I myself have no opinon about this thing whatsoever. But as a coach myself (lifecoach) I know when someone is committed to his or her word or not. We all have had success one way or the other in life. Small or big doesnt matter, they all have a common denominator. They feel true to who you are being in that moment. This happens because of a stage of lesser thinking about our thinking. Ask anyone with success like doing a goal or running a lap or throwing a spear or singing on stage beautifully. It happens because of no resistence, no thinking, not planning, but being your true self. Wtf does that mean you ask. Well, let me tell you. I grew up in a kind of unloving home. Stepmother treated me differently than my other siblings and my father blamed me for everything, not because I did anything but just because of the fact that I was the eldest. That was the only reason. This created a belief in me that I wasnt good enough. Maybe some of you can chime in on this. On top of this, whenever I succeeded my father always chimed in and said "Yeah, you did great. But that was all because of me!". My thought was. Well, if thats the case, why bother doing anything. If its all his then I have no say in what will happen. I found out almost 40 years later that this is not the case. He still says it though but today I know that is not true. I am the only in my family that has gone to the university. I am the only one in my family who has written a book (in swedish) I am the only one in my family who has a podcast that has helped a lot of people overcome their anxiety, depression and self blaming. What I realized is, it has always been up to me to be me. To take myself as far as I can go. What is holding me back, or maybe even holding you back, is the unkown ground and the silent whisper of the former screams from before saying "maybe you are a failure", or so I thought. But that is not it. It is you believing that it is true. Nothing else matters.

If you watched it all Simon you would have heard zlatan saying on his first day at Barcelona he turned up in his ferrari and was told that everyone else doesn't turn up in those type of flash cars , so zlatan said fine and left it at home 6 months until pep pissed him off so he drove in the next day in his flash ferrari and parked it infront of peps office window to make a point. But as he said it I was thinking, zlatan is saying that at Barcelona the players don't turn up in flash cars to training etc ?????. Surely they all do unless it was pep who didn't want them to drive the flash cars into training????.

Regarding the matter concerning the Ferrari, Simon seemed to have missed the point, possibly due to not having watched the entire segment on his relationship with the coach. His reference to the specific car brand stemmed from Guardiola's prohibition of players arriving at training in that particular vehicle to which the players found to be bizarre and pointless. Consequently, when he recognized the futility of his relationship with the coach, he deliberately opted for the same car model just to infuriate Guardiola and set the whole situation on fire before his departure.

Remember Ronaldinho, eto and Co won leagues and champions leagues when Messi could barely get playing time at barca. Pep arrives,he had Iniesta, xavi, busquest, puyol, Henry etc all world cup and champions league winner. All time greats. Not to mention of a fresh Messi. We know what happened at barca after he won a couple of champions leagues. He struggled. He left to bayern Munich who had won the C league the previous season. He couldn't finish the job. Went to city with unlimited budget and bribery to avoid fair play rules. Took him 7 years to win it. Take him to Newcastle and I'm being nice here and let's see what he would do. Hey of course he's a fantastic coach can't take that away from him. I love his style. But u need the right kind of players which involves lots of money.

He said repeatedly Pep picks the team and he respected him as the boss. What he didn’t respect is being the clubs marquee signing and Pep not having an ongoing conversation with him about his role and essentially avoiding him. That’s not a great decision from Pep when he’s been brought to the club on big money as your marksman. Pep of course is vindicated because he always delivers, but it’s surely a case of two people who always deliver with too big egos who don’t want to buckle an inch. Let’s not forget that Zlatan was brought in to replace Eto who Pep also had personality issues with. It seems Pep is not as good as some of the other top managers on the relationship side. Why would you not try harder to understand someone who the club has given up a lot to get.

The cotext of the car was cos pep said the players dont drive ferrai to the training ground which zlatan agreed , but when pep stopped talking to him he did it to get a rise out of pep so then he might actually start engaging with him. It got so bad that pep had a man on the door of the lunch room andbif he saw zlatan coming would warn pep so they left . I dont think this is all ibrahimovic's fault
