Hello! Just wanna say exo has a whole story line as a concept. They’re basically aliens with super powers. And there is this thing called red force trying to get them. The whole story transcends to all group mvs, teaser trailers for comebacks, and concert vcrs. There are lots of theories but you’ll get the feel of what im saying by watching mama mv (this is their official debut mv). Songs and mvs don’ really need to connect with each other. Sometimes its just the vibe. The lyrics of monster is all about being really obsessed in love that caused you to do really monstrous things. Most of exo lyrics appeal more to stories out of the ordinary and sometimes fantasy like. It’s like it brings you to a different world. Different moods of fantasy world, there are crazy ones, sweet ones, painful ones, and dangerous ones. This is what i love about them aside from all the talent.

Exo's Power video is worth watching. They all are, but this one makes me happy in a weird way, not being an exo-l, just a casual appreciator. To truly understand EXO you need to understand that EXO debuted in 2012. "Mama" is EXO's debut song and MV and It is how EXO was introduced to the world and it explains the group's concept. So to really understand EXO you need to start from the very beginning and watch both of their "Mama" MVs. From day one, EXO's concept is that they are aliens from planet EXO and they came to Earth with superpowers to protect the Tree of Life from the Red Forces. Each of the members has a superpower that is unique to them and almost every MV will have at least one if not all of them using their powers. Exo, as in exoskeleton, means "outer," so as a member of EXO they are outside the ordinary.The group's concept comes from the real term exoplanet, which is a term that is used for a planet that is outside our solar system, so their name was chosen to represent the fact that they are stars that are "out of this world" when it comes to their talents. EXO's concept is also connected to real life planetary and solar events so all of EXO's comebacks and new song releases for the main group of EXO are all connected to when eclipses and other planetary phenomenons take place. For example, their comeback for their "War" album and "Power" album coincided with when we had a solar eclipse, etc. SM Entertainment, and its founder, Lee SooMan, has all of EXO's release dates and concepts planned out for years and it all has something to do with real celestial events that are predicted to take place. "MAMA" explains the group's origin story. "MAMA" is one of the most epic and mind blowing debut concepts, songs and Mvs of all time in Kpop. So far, no ones debut has ever been quit as epic as EXO's and it will forever be pretty hard to top. EXO's MVs are kind of like a movie -- its a movie that has been going on for the past 7 years and it has no sign of coming to an end any time soon. But at this point its going to be kind of hard for you to fully understand what is happening in the storyline of EXO's MVs, unless you become really dedicated to EXO and become an EXO-L (an EXO fan) and really spend some time getting to know EXO. Because all of EXO's MVs and storylines from everything EXO has ever been involved in are connected and it all tells a little more of EXO's story. And not only that, but EXO aren't even human, so that throws an even more complicated concept into the mix. LOL But to help you begin to understand why we say its hard to explain things to you ... here is some information about EXO. Now you also need to know that In the beginning there was 12 members and they were split up into 2 groups EXO-K and EXO-M. EXO-K sang and performed their songs in Korean and EXO-M sang and performed those same songs in Mandarin Chinese. EXO-K had 6 Korean members and EXO-M had 4 Chinese members and 2 Korean members. So to really understand their full origin story you have to watch both the K and the M version of "Mama" not just the K version, because even though both the K and M versions of "Mama" feature all 12 of the members, the K version focuses on the K members and their powers and the M version focuses on the M members and their powers. However, since then 3 of the 4 Chinese members have left the group (short answer to focus on their solo work back in China) but there is still one Chinese member left, Lay. (Any performances or MVs you watch that took place prior to May 2014 you will see all 12 of the members. Kris and Luhan left in 2014 and Tao left in 2015.) However, now, because they no longer have enough Chinese members they no longer do separate promotions, but they still produce all their MVs and main songs in both Korean and Mandarin they just now promote all as one big group EXO with 9 members. Not only does EXO have amazing MVs, but its always double because anytime they have a Korean version they also will have a Mandarin version, so it means they have to shoot two separate videos.Their fandom name is EXO-L because L falls right between K and M and it stands for Love. 😍Get it? EXO-K, EXO-L, EXO-M (K-L-M in the alphabet) Once you have seen "Mama" and start to understand EXO's backstory., if you watch any of their other MVs, such as their "Power" MV, it should make more sense to you if you keep in mind all the details about them being aliens with superpowers and how they are on a mission, etc. For example, their "Power" MV is all about how the Red Forces stole EXO's powers and they had to fight the robot, which was under the Red Forces control, to get their powers back. And once they got their powers back they were then sent to Earth. The one thing you have to keep in mind with all of EXO's MVs, and I really mean all of them (including EXO-CBX MVs -- a sub-unit of EXO -- and several of Lay's solo MVs and even Baekhyun's recent solo debut MV), is that they are all connected and they all tell a little more of EXO's story and why they are on Earth, etc.

YES! POWER VOCALS!!! And the most powerfull ones, those that you liked most, are Chen and Baekhyun. ;) EVERYTHING in this MV means something. But it would be hard to fully explain. The two things you must pay extra attention are: 1. They were created to be imagined as boys from another planet that has powers and are constantly fightint an "enemy force" that tries to catch them and so on... 2. The color red: Everytime the color red appears on EXO MVs it means that "the enemy" is around, or that especific scenne is related to "the enemy". And, as you can see, all this MV is based on black, white, and red... But, if you want to know more, I highly sugest you search for explanations on RU-vid. There are lots of fans axplaining the theories behind this MV and they are amazing! ;)

As the English lyrics in "Monster" say ... They're "Creeping, Creeping Creeping .... Creeping in your heart babe" "You can call me Monster (because) I'm creeping in your heart babe." "She got me goin' crazy,." The song's called "Monster" so the words are about acting like a Monster "Don't be afraid love is the way... i'm sorry, you make me sooo craaaazzzy, you know you dooooo." LOL So the floating watch and the car that is on fire in reverse, etc., I think was -- on top of being a metaphor in the story -- them using their powers. However, the lyrics of the song really have very little to do with the story in the MV. "Monster" is one example where if you want to know what the song and lyrics are about you should watch an English lyric video. Because the lyrics in the song tell a different story than the story in the MV. In the song the members are talking about a girl and they are telling the girl that "You can call me Monster" because I know I am bad for you and I will ruin you. I know that when we are over that I will have destroyed everything that is good about you, but I don't care because I want you so much that it doesn't matter to me. So ... "Don't be afraid, love is the way ... you can call me Monster ... because I'm creeping in your heart babe." The song is about possessing a girl and using her up and throwing her away in the end, but the MV really is about EXO's origin story and about the fact that they are aliens from Plant Exo and they are searching for clues to help them on their quest to find and protect the Tree of Life from the Red Forces. Some say the "girl" that EXO is always singing about and you sometimes see in their MVs is a manifestation of the heart of the Tree of Life and that is why the members are always rescuing or protecting the girl, etc. And why all their songs are about being in love with a girl or being controlled by the power of the girl, such as in "Overdose" for example. Or how they talk about knowing they are bad news for the girl but they want her anyway and they can't help it, but in the end they know they might destroy her -- as they say in "Monster," etc. etc. When you think of the girl as the heart of the Tree of Life, you begin to see even more parallels to EXO's story and even more ways to connect even more of it all together. Also, the majority of the choreography for "Monster" has to do with the members using their powers, so when/if you watch the dance practice and/or the live performances really pay attention to the choreography so you can find the parts where they use their powers. For example: when D.O. makes a gesture with his arms all the members are pulled toward him or pushed away from him because he is using his power of force/strength; when Xiumin moves across in front of the rest of the members you will see them all pause as if frozen because he used his power of frost/ice; and when Sehun stands in the middle of the group the other members shuffle around him as if they are creating a windstorm because Sehun controls wind, etc. This is one of the best examples of how EXO continues their concept and story in everything they do, including in their choreography. Everything, down to the most minute detail, is expertly thought out and planned to always stick to their concept and story. Also, I think their next MV for their song "Lotto" is a prequel to "Monster" so when/if you watch "Lotto", just keep in mind that what you saw happen in "Monster" is what is going to take place after the events in "Lotto", and both MVs might make a little more sense to you then. I'm not positive how "Monster" and "Lotto" tie in to EXOs larger storyline. But I do know, and am almost positive, that "Lotto" is the prequel to "Monster." So if you pay attention I think the story starts out in "Lotto" where the members have somehow infiltrated this big gambling ring and are maybe sort of undercover as they work to uncover a clue or something they need in order to accomplish their tasks here on Earth. I think the underground gambling establishment is run by a gang of bad guys (maybe members of the Red Force.) "Lotto" is where we are introduced to a girl who is being held captive. And ultimately, I think what EXO are trying to do is rescue the girl from the Red Forces or the bad guys, but they are trying to do it without blowing their cover or being found out. So that's why you see in "Lotto" and continued in "Monster" the members are fighting against the FBI or police because the police have come in to take down the gambling ring and rescue the girl, which is also what EXO are trying to do. For some reason the members of EXO don't want to be discovered so they play along as if they are part of the bad guys. But in the end, as you see in "Monster," Baekhyun disguises himself as one of the police and helps the other members escape before they are taken to jail or are captured by the Red Forces, etc . As you can see all of the stories in EXO's MVs are connected. All of EXO's MVs and storylines from everything EXO has ever been involved in are connected, including EXO-CBX MVs and many of the members' solo MVs, and it all tells a little more of EXO's story. We just have to pay close attention to every detail and put the pieces together. EXO's MVs are all like one continues drama or mystery. You will never understand anything about EXO's MVs until you first understand EXO's origin story. And the best way to understand EXO is to start from the very beginning and watch their debut MV for "Mama" (You have to watch both the EXO-K version and the EXO-M version to truly understand EXO's full origin story.) As with everything EXO does, you have to keep in mind that the whole concept of the group is that they are supposed to be aliens from Planet Exo and they came to Earth on a mission. Each of the members has a superpower that is unique to them and they have been sent to Earth to protect the Tree of Life from the Red Forces. Unfortunately,, to make it even more difficult to understand, each part of the story is not necessarily in chronological order, so we as EXO-L have to become detectives and analyze every aspect of all of their teasers, MVs, songs, albums, choreography and even live performances and piece it all together to understand the story behind it all. Monster MV theory ⤵️ The first thing I spotted when watching the video over and over again was this shot in the beginning of baekhyun and the snake. Is the snake telling him something? For those with good eye will notice this is the same table the guys are sitting on later on in the video. In the next shot we see baekhyun in the van that is holding the guys. Except one thing is off. The first shot is being played in reverse! We then have our next scene where the guys all come to sit along side there friend baekhyun. But this scene is important for another reason that I'll talk about later. In the featuring lay we see him almost taunting one of the guards poking him to wake. But like I said the video isn't shot in any order so this is before they are attacked by the men in black. Now to the next scene we see the guys walking away from the table but thats the clip was in reverse. What does this signify? We all know from the "overdose mv" that they are stuck in a maze which is still the case as confirmed by the ending in the "lucky one mv" which was released after/with "monster mv". So now back to the clip that was reversed. Was this the plan they had to escape the maze? Have baekhyun betray them in order to get into the enemies favor? Because for baekhyun to have access to the car he had to have done one of two things either join the enemies ranks or some how steal gear and a car. Now to the scene where d.o, lay, chen standing, xiumin, suho and kai setting on that table... doesn't it reminds you of any thing at all?! Da Vinci's "the last supper". Again it's jus a theory so baekhyun representing JUDAS? And has he just betrayed his brothers. Because at the end of the shot we see baekhyun leaving the room telling us he left the table because he's not in the shot anymore... so remember i said baekhyun's plan was to betray them like Judas in order to save them? But so i don't confuse anyone this is not how the story of judas went. This a different take on it thus the change. So baekhyun left after what we could say was a falling out we see the guys being attack and in prisoned. In that shot were the guys were getting attacked I'm sure im not the only one that noticed sehun and d.o looking at each other. But this is before they are attacked because d.o was on the ground as he's being attacked. Pay attention to the fact that d.o sat on that gate with the security camera! One of the last scene we see the car scene not in reverse any more and if you look closely you can see baekhyun grabbing the watch that showed us that time was going back. Did baekhyun turn the time back?and why? Now to the last part of the video which because it's not shot in particular order means that it's a big confusing because it buts baekhyun in two places at one time.. so did baekhyun turning back the time to creat another version of himself from the past? Version1: with the helmet and scares on his face that you will see once he takes it off. Version2: with the piercing on his mouth and the version and of him that betrayed in the scene which can be seen turning off the security cameras d.o is sat on top of "as you can see d.o is still in the frame" Now for the final scene you can clearly see the different versions of baekhyun. Are they in different locations at one time? I could be wrong in assuming that they are two of him but like I said it's just a theory.. and if you made it till here don't forget to like to let deacs know the theory about exo's monster mv

Hmm so here is the story behind the mv according to fans and theories.. EXO’s “Overdose”, “MAMA”, “Love Me Right”, “Lucky One”, and “Monster” tell a story! EXO-Ls already know that EXO was created with the concept that each member has different power and that they are from a different planet from ours. This can be seen in “MAMA”. The opening tells the story of the boys and the MV showcases each of their powers (Mama) But some fans believe that this is how everything else is tied together. In their “Overdose” MV it shows the original 12 members stuck inside a maze. The belief is that the scientists from “Lucky One” put the boys inside the maze because they have unusual powers. This in turn makes sense because at the end of “Lucky One” it shows that the boys are still inside the maze. On the other hand, their “Monster” MV shows the boys rebelling and trying to get out of the maze. This is evident by the swat team that the boys fight. Next, the boys are put into a van which has some fans believing that they were recaptured and taken back to the maze. While other fans believe that the boys have finally gained their freedom since Baekhyun takes off his mask at the end of the MV and we see all of them walking away together. There are a lot of theories behind EXO mvs and it gets really complicated after the release of the Power and Ko Ko Bop...
