I'm Irish and I like Rice. He's English born and raised. He should play for the country that he identifies with, and English football offers more financial benefits, exposure and regularly qualify for tournaments. No hard feelings, but he shouldn't have taken the Irish senior caps imo.

This man is jealous. Declan Rice is a better player than he ever was. I never even heard him before this criticism. I used to watch Declan rice play for the last 5 yrs, and I never seen him drop his form until England, because Southgate put the wrong team together, or playing the wrong formation that doesn’t suit the team OVR.

Defensively sweeping up & breaking things Rice tops Rodri. On the ball & starting attacks Rodri better than Rice. They're different DM's, It's close. I'd edge Rodri right now but Rice is up his arse and he's only 25. + Rice can play the 8 role equally Rodri couldn't do what Rice does as the 8, doesn't have the natural engine to go up & down.

He is overrated.He is a whole tier behind Kroos and Rodri. He has only 1 Ucl campaign under his belt. The quarter final vs Bayern exposed him horribly. Now Euros has exposed him. He cant compete vs the best of Spain Germany or Portugal at a technical level. Not yet anyway. Glad Kobbie hasnt played coz they would have blamed him for Rice's performances. @@Invisible-Wall I was not the one commenting on Declan Rice , but I did play for Arsenal second team when on trial against Westham and Brighton and Hove Albion, I was offered a job at another then 1st division team but back in those days the wages were capped , so it wasn’t a viable option . I had a very successful amateur career. I don’t consider it relevant , I just think it made him look jealous of Declan’s success
