Shutter sound, display and cropfactor comparison between Canon EOS 20D, 1D Mark III and 5D Mark III

This is a little video in which I show you a comparison between the Canon EOS 20D, 1D Mark III and the 5D Mark III in terms of:
- Shutter sound
- Rear display
- Cropfactor
On the 5D you first hear the 6fsp in 'normal' mode. Then the 'silent' 6fps in Live View mode and then the 3fps in regular Silent mode.
The pictures on the end were taken with the 70-200mm L II lens at 200mm (identical manual settings on all cameras, shot in JPEG and resized in Photoshop).

After many years of 35mm, 5X4, and 6X6, I have to say that the Canon 5D mkii is the best camera ever made. And the Canon 1D mkiii is the most robust and versatile body ever. Fact.

20D still a good camera. Might be a 2004 era camera, but it's still better than a brand new Rebel.

Are the display on full brightness? Because the 20D screen is so dim And I think the 1D Mark III has silent shutter.

Go with 1d if you are interested in wildlife and sports photography,and for still photos 5 d is better

I have sold mine at least. Bought the sony 5N. The 20D was a very good camera but heavy and the Sony does the same quality plus full HD video at 50FPS EU ad 60FPS USA and less weight - so I don't look like a paparazzi now :) . Well my girlfried has a similar Nikon to the canon so I didn't dropped on semi pro photography at all.

@@PappaJocke I’ve had the 1D Mark iii for 3 weeks now and I love it. But I find myself looking at the 1D Mark IV. Is it worth upgrading for the ability to crop more.? Is the image quality that much superior? Would you just save $700 for now and and enjoy the 1D mark iii. I use it mainly for street photography.
