Thanks for the support guys. Hey guys, so its finally up !
My thoughts can be summarized as follows.
In terms of spin time, (objectively speaking) the Shutter takes out overall spin time, and the Horizon takes out both spin times when it comes to grinding.
The main differences that separate the two are, while the Shutter is versatile, the Horizon is very specialized to extreme tricks.
The final evaluation is that the Shutter's width is ultimately what makes me prefer it. The Horizon is simply too narrow and that puts me off using it as a primary throw.

Whenever I tested sleep time for any of my throws, I always threw em 3 times and took the average and used that number as a general measure for the sleep time.

I'd prefer Kitty fat, but that's just my opinion. Depends on your style of tricks. If you want tight binds I'd recommend Kitty Fat.

For me, the horizon can finger spin for about 1 minute and 30 seconds. Also, the horizon should be the longest spinning yoyo in the market. But maybe it's all different. Great video, as always 😜

The spin time has more to do with the bearing and not really the yoyo. Usually the Horizon spins longer during combos since the walls do not touch the string as much as the shutter. But the shutter can move faster easier than the horizon.

You're not kidding, I sold off my horizon after a couple of uses as I did not like how crazy the weight was on the rims. I like a more even distribution on my throws.

You forgot an important variable concerning normal finger grinds. The abitlity depends on the anodization since some are better than others for grinding and I'll bet my sweet ass one of those nifty new shutters grind better than a solidy anodized horizon and vice versa, a nifty galacy horizon would grind better than an original/old, solidly anodized shutter. Just my thoughts ^^ nice vid

Have you done several tests with them? What about durability? Have you tested muliple Horizons and Shutters? Have you tried different finishes? (Matte, polished, metalic, no engravings, raw, etc.), and have you tried absolutely every trick you know on them? I am curious, and I want some more accurate calculations. In the video, it seemed you did only a few tests and called it good. I would test it myself, but I'm poor and don't have enough to experiment thuroughly.

Nah, they weren't signatures, he just used them to compete because he liked them. What's funny is that, considering how much he liked the MVPs, the Horizon pretty much in no way resembles the MVPs. But I've never owned one, so I can't say if they have a similar feel on the string.

The Shutter is fine, the Horizon , not so much. However, there are so many other yoyos out there that I like so much better. It’s all about preference, just like they say. It’s also all about hype. Unfortunately, it takes trying a lot of types of yoyos to figure out one’s preference. Nearly two hundred yoyos later, I’ve figure out my preferences. LOL

Hello, so I have a horizon that is beat up and I need a good yoyo for finger spins. I don't know if I should get another horizon or shutter. I need one that is accurate, because with my horizon when I land it on my finger, all it does is spin crazily around even when I have a soft finger. Or, in other words, I need a yoyo that won't spin crazily when I land it on my finger.

The Nightmare is an excellent yoyo, although if you want a Yoyofactory bimetal, you should also take a look at The Edge (Evan Nagao's signature yoyo) and the YYF Space Cadet. Both excellent bimetals with (IMO) a better profile than the Nightmare.

The Edge and Space Cadet are both newer (they'll probably be around longer) and cost the same as the Nightmare. Plus I think on top of having performance that's as good they do have much better finger spin capabilities and in my opinion, look way better.

Exactly. That Space Cadet is, as far as looks go, in the top three for bimetal yoyos, especially for a bimetal under $200.

Hey guys, the Oracle is pretty decent. And the Sage is definitely usable... Only knock I can say is they probably should've just marketed them as what they are, the OneStar and the Loop 360.

+James Zetterman If you look at the Oracle review on YoYoTricks.com they specifically state that it is a Loop 360. And I disagree with marketing the Sage as the OneStar since one comes with a slim bearing while another comes with a wide bearing.
