I know! I did carry on colouring for a bit longer... it's been a while! I probably enjoyed these pens more than they deserved purely because it has been a while! Thanks for watching Deb, your continued support is always appreciated 🥰
Thank you another great review. My experience with the cheaper gels has been hit and miss over the years, if I haven't used them for a while they don't work, but I take the refill out of the pen and let it sit in hot water tap hot for 30 minutes which does seem to get them working again, some are still very stubborn and still refuse to work so those go in bin, it's very frustrating when things can't be relied on. Now I am starting a sakura collection set by set as I am fed up wasting my time trying to make the cheaper ones work. I will use gift money for Christmas and birthday to start collecting. I have a yellow sakura and the difference in flow compared to other makes is very noticeable and I really love using it, makes art a pleasure not a struggle. I'm in uk too.😊🎉
The gel pens are very less expensive at the beginning of class in August spécially! 😊 But the best ones are the Moonlight set for me with box of 120, they have opaque coloured stylos! 😊
i have purchased this pack too! what i found weird was that half of the pens have an opaque cap, but are glittery aswell, some of them are scratchy but overall i like them
I had these gave them away one of mine was so scratchy it tore through my page 😲 and like yours some just didn't work!! Which is a shame cause there were some beautiful colours. Hope you get the dodgy ones to work..I think the tips/balls were sharp or something making it cut into the paper! Xxx
Yes, that’s what I remember the old ones were like; really awful, really scratchy. I’ll only use these on really smooth paper as they don’t seem so scratchy when the paper is slicker. Definitely not the juicy floaty experience of the Chromatek!
For numbering, can you use your swatch sheet & make the first set 101-120, the next 201-220 etc? I don't need more until I use what I have but these are pretty, thanks for showing us.
The problem is I need to number the pens based on the plastic tray number they were in so that I’ll be able to match the pens with the packs of refills. I was surprised these were ok, wasn’t expecting them to be and the smaller ball will be handy in books with finer details.
@@ArtJourneyUK I was not clear but that was what I meant, tray 1 is the 100's, tray 2 the 200's etc, and 01-20 was the way you have them on your chart unless there is a better order. Then any time you look at a number you know which tray it was in and there is no 121-199 or 221 etc.
They shine and are all glittery which is nice and also can get to finer details. I bought their 80 pack last month but had to send them back. Found them scratchy, half of them didn't work and almost tore my page maybe my fault for being heavy handed. They all didn't even have glitter in them though it said glitter gel pens. Worst was they came in a flimsy box and were smaller in size not even full regular pen size.
Yes, that's a similar experience to the one I had with the 160 set I sent back. Never thought I'd try Shuttle Art again! These are alright, definitely not my favourite and ok for finer details. For 20p per pen (or 10p per pen and 10p per refill) they're the same price as a £2 pack of 10.... but with a bigger range of colours, which is their redeeming feature!
This may be way to much work, but maybe you could label them double. One number for the set and another number for the order that you like them in. As for me... I feel like I am content enough with my Color Technik set... at least they are prelabeled and quite good quality for their price.
I also love my Color Technik but we're unable to get them anymore over here (which I guess is why people are asking about these ones instead). I really thought I wouldn't like these, but the finer tip is better for some pages with final details. They complement my others rather than replace them 😀
I numbered mine alphabetically by layer and then each pen in each layer numerically. Stuck them little circles with a sample on with Scotch tape…Do I use them? No…Why…cos I just know the replacement refills will just be so naughty and swop colours…🤣🤣🥰
