All the shields are Sonic 3 and Sonic and Knuckles shields and behave in the same way in this game as they do in those Sonic games. It is actually a really cool addition!
Man, you absolutely need to play "New Super Mario Bros: The 12 Magic Orbs Powered Up". It's a SMW romhack that adds tons of new powerups and crazy stage designs. I would tell you everything they added, but the best part of the game is getting into a new stage and seeing the amazing updates. There's even a sequel that incorporates wall jumps.
The shields are the exact same as Sonic & Knuckles. The fire shoots you forward the water makes you bounce and the lightning as you see is a double jump. Game looks fun AF
And having his knights in the middle of the fight too. Maybe Ryu should play Kirby Super Star on SNES. He never met a Meta Knight knight before apparently?
I noticed it's not the first time something like this happened, when Ryu is focused on playing a game, he says he will eventually go back to check the stuff he accidentally missed, then after he completes the whole game, he immediately forgets about it and almost never comes back to the game to check all the features he missed XD
What a great game!! Ryu you ABSOLUTELY have to show us the endurance mode, the randomizer, and most importantly your path to the top of yet another leaderboard.
Meta Knight has a crew he creatively calls his Meta-Knights. The Meta-knights and Meta Knight are different entities, but for some reason, Meta Knight seemed to use that naming scheme. x3 His four comrades are Axe Knight, Javelin King, Mace Knight, and Trident Knight. (I always thought Axe was named Skull Knight, but that makes too much sense. :P)
They make a very annoying appearance when Meta Knight's involved in the games when they want to be. (Kind of outrageously, he doesn't utilize them in Kirby and the Forgotten World. I suppose they simply forgot.)
Please play Midnight Wanderers it was one of my favorite games when I was a kid. You can finish it very quickly actually, so it can be good for one or two videos
Nah, I wouldn't want Nintendo to make games like this, it's boring. I wouldn't pay for it. It's just advanced flappy bird. Every level is the same, just constant side scrolling with you going up and down.
This game style actually seems pretty similar to Yoshi's Touch & Go actually. Also a fantastic little game for the Nintendo DS. In fact I'd say that game's definitely served as a major inspiration for this.
Nintendo is making games like this because it isn't an actual game, it's a ROM Hack, someone used different rom files from other games to make a new ROM, so it's not technically a (Barebones) game, Nintendo makes fully developed games. Unfortunately if this Rom "Game" was made and published by Nintendo, everyone would bitch and be upset at Nintendo, because you would actually have to pay for it. What's fun about Fan Made games is that are fan made and most of the time free, but that aren't on the same standards as a AA or AAA game, we just like them alot because they are free and fan made, no one would like this game if it was an actual Nintendo Game that you would have to spend At least $30 for, everyone would be disappointed Nintendo made that. Nintendo is being Smart and avoiding fan made rom hacks and/or games. At least they aren't hitting this Fan with Copyright Violations lol.
Energy Shields=Sonic 3/Knuckles. Nintendo should totally have a team that finds these fan games, buys the best ones, replaces the copyright infringements, and releases as Nintendo games. This reminds me of all the NES/Gameboy/SNES era Mario spinoffs…which were great!
This game looks really run! Fan games typically have a stigma attached to them, but that is not always the case. If Ryu wants to get retro tickled again, I hope he eventually plays the fan games *Mushroom Kingdom Fusion* and *Super Mario Bros. X* They both have classic 8 and 16 bit platforming, but with some nice twists!
Nintendo is the most stubborn company. They make great games kinda in this style (Mario 35) and people love them but poof they take it away. If they made a “romhack series” they’d make SO much money. 15 bucks a pop. Come on Nintendo

You can't be serious? David f'ing Hayter doesn't even charge half of that. This could only ever be a fan game 😂. Used music, items and stage design from multiple different games/ companies. Yeah Nintendo why aren’t you making games like this?!! 😅
Somehow reminds me of this one (Flash?) game from years ago "Boss Rush" that was a pseudo-endless runner themed like the Gunstar Heroes Seven Force boss battle. I understand that this game is more focused on the endless runner aspect than the boss rush aspect given its Flappy Bird-like obstacle evasion gameplay, but the memories came up for me nonetheless.
I havent played Super Mario World in years and seeing the Reznor Wheel in the thumbnail literally gave me a conniption, I forgot about those guys for a reason, they were THE WORST
This was a fun watch, I really enjoyed the mashup of sprites, music & level design! That could've easily been executed poorly, but they did a fantastic job with it.
Such a cool game. Shyguys are my favorite mario enemy so great choice in character. Funny idea too, and it was funny having silver surfer as the last boss. I actually prefer Shyguys to mario himself, tired of his obnoxious high pitched noises he makes all the time and mindless "happy no matter what is happening" personality.
nintendo and fanmade game should cohexist, law problem aside. original creator do good innovation and polish, fanmade games tho are just fun for players, made from players. i think you were sideaways, not lakitu, even bombs are parachute like that
So he rather would pay 60 bucks for a game that Nintendo for sure would ruin in any way possible instead of playing this version for free.. why is this world full of idiots!!

It seems like a great game but could you please stop mentioning every 2 minutes about Nintendo needs to do this? Dude this game is good as this it's it won't sell to the public. It's just an endless runner game with shy Guy with stuff stolen from other games that is all.
Instead of Nintendo making these sort of games. People that make these fan games should be making their OWN games that have nothing to do with Nintendo characters. Then sell games and profit if they want to
The level artwork looks really good in this game and the boss battle looks fun. My biggest complaint about newer Nintendo games is that the boss battles are very and if not way too easy. This game looks fast and eye catching and the music is great too. I wonder how someone can take the time to make this did this take a team of people or was this made by one person? Anyways great game.

Please leave the nice little moles on your forehead when creating the thumbnail. I like them and they act as a security feature to detect fake Ryukahrs.
I didn't even know about this game until I saw this video. Only thing I hated was having to map joytokey for this game. But other than that this fan game puts Nintendo to shame!

If you want another mario-themed fangame, it would be awesome to see you try out a game called "Mushroom Kingdom Fusion". It starts out as a good old Mario Platformer but it also has TONS of stuff from other franchises, like Metroid, Zelda, Contra, Metal Slug, Castlevania, Ninja Gaiden... I could list like a hundred more. It is a rrally big game and takes dozens of hours to finish, but it is still in development, so it's not done yet. I think you'd really like it, even if it might be too much to do only one video on.
