Actually, the heir doesn’t tote around in fancy royal clothing and is dressed like one of the knights. So, it’s not his fault that he didn’t know that who he was talking to was indeed the heir of the kingdom because they didn’t dress royally. “The heir is a gallant hero, said to always be clad in shining knightly armor with their trusty sword by their side.” Which means that the heir literally could blend in with any of the knights and not be noticed by any of them. Don’t worry, I thought the same until I read the script {well, listened to the audio WITH the script up and the listener actually talks in the script}, and noticed that the heir didn’t really wear much of royal clothing to differentiate them from the other guards and even if someone where to sneak in and try something, the heir could hold their own in a fight, the knight is just there for backup in case they’re in need of help.
