I'm a Sunderland fan and I remember Big Kev's form for us in the 03-04 season. He was absolutely on fire and we were all thinking he was the next Niall Quinn. Shame he had the bad hip injury and he was never quite the same after. But I always followed his career and wished him well. Hope he's doing alright these days, he's always welcome back at Sunderland
A larger than life character. Great stories and a real life insight to the highs and lows of pro football. The top clubs in England should be hiring this man to mentor the young kids coming through at academies. He could help keep their feet on the ground.
Love these interviews , reminds you these guys are human. Like Kevin said we all have opinions but really we don’t have a clue. Some people including myself in pay would have said he didn’t have a great career but you know what , what he achieved and did was amazing and really how dare someone like me judge him! met KK in Darlington as we were both seeing the same specialist. Club was in a shambles at the time (pre Roy Keane taking over and while we were under Niall Quinn) and he was telling me some funny stuff about Gary Breen and his ability in the air. Nice bloke
