She sung this for his dead bf who died when he was 24 yrs,she got depressed and channelled the pain to singing, sometimes bad things happen for a reason, imagine a world with out sia
Did he have an addiction? Because the way that i interpreted the lyrics is that she is talking about the addiction of shooting up with a needle 💉 The eb and flow of wanting to that fix but knowing it’s bad yet that fix is so sweet that it’s worth it.
@@tarabalaoing7030"through the eye of the needle" is an idiom that portrays or decribes how something(particularly a situation)is heavily hard or tough. Ex. I went through the eye of the needle to get to where I am at now. Hope this helped hihi
Wingardium, she’s a prime example. One of the best in our era to date. This woman doesn’t f**k around. She understands what words can do and it’s timeless. True genius.
[Verse 1] Take me down I'm feeling now And if I move on I admit you're gone [Pre-Chorus] And I ain't ready but I'll hold steady I'll hold you in my arms, in my arms, in my arms [Chorus] You're locked inside my heart And your melody's an art And I won't let the terror in I'm stealing time through the eye of the needle [Verse 2] Step and repeat Tears fall to the beat Smile through the pain Feel the acid rain [Pre-Chorus] And I ain't ready but I'll hold steady I'll hold you in my arms, in my arms, in my arms [Chorus] And you're locked inside my heart And your melody's an art And I won't let the terror in I'm stealing time through the eye of the needle [Bridge] My bags' heavy, been filled by me They weigh me down, carry them 'round It's all mine, all mine I am blinded by the eye of the needle [Chorus] You're locked inside my heart And your melody's an art And I won't let the terror in I'm stealing time through the eye of the needle, eye of the needle You're locked inside my heart And your melody's an art And I won't let the terror in I'm stealing time through the eye of the needle
When my mum was in the Intensive Care Unit, unconscious, I listened to this song and related so much. I truly felt like I was stealing time from death, praying it away, while my mum's life seemed to depend on needles and medicines. We were lucky enough that she recovered for a while so we could say our goodbyes, before she fell asleep, peacefully. Thanks Sia.
Aaly's Gaming Who cares if she is the best French dancer! Her dancing does not match the song, it looks rubbish, she is ruining the song, with her out of rhythm nonsense!! the drummer is a fool too.
DrJohnduff Hey fool don't piss your nappy! and don't call, yourself a doctor ! that title is for intelligent people, not dumb arseholes who shit in their pants 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@SamSam24270 Well done dude, in two comments you've proven how stupid you are. First you try to prove that you're so smart by dissing the dancer and the drummer when the video OBVIOUSLY doesn't match the song, which is clearly a really dumb move and when someone tells it to you you answer by nonsense gibberish that has nothing to do with the subject in the first place Man i really hope you're 12 years old top
She is one of the writers when you hear the name your making fun of her, but once you hear her sing you regret it and take it back. Amazing. Luv ya Sia.
+Luna Noon :) Me too. I became a fan of hers, back from her zero 7 days [band]. Pageant of the bizarre was one of my favourite songs at that time, in which she was the lead vocalist. She is from my state, which made her more special. When her earlier CD's came out, i encouraged my friends to get into her, but they instantly dismissed her music, calling it weird (because she was unknown, people didn't care to give her a chance). I'm so glad she has a big name for herself now, and has found the success that she deserves.
+inquizative44 I 100 percent agree. I actually hadn't heard of her due to not keeping up on current music because most of it being garbage. I first saw her on Saturday Night Live when it was hosted by Donald Trump. Then I researched her. Started listening to some of her previous songs like Titanium and Chandelier. I became hooked and she is my new favorite performer. Bought all her previous CD's and pre-ordered her new release. She is also such a nice humble person and has been through her share of struggles. And that comes out in her songwriting for very powerful lyrics.
Sia is and will always be the best thing to ever happen to my life...I might be a guy, but I know when to cry to a beautiful voice like hers. It's like her voice holds on the pain in the world, but at the same time holding the worlds joy. It must be hard being a fallen angel, but she makes it look so easy...
Me too brother. I've struggled with lost relationships, drugs, and alcohol and her lyrics and spirit just cries out to me in a way that I understand and relate to. She is an open spirit that doesn't care about the critics and just speaks with her heart without a filter. I love her like an old friend, but will never meet her.
It seems like combination of Pink and Beyonce in this song. Beyonce does such voice effects, waves. But you are right. She is great. She is very talented.
Estina Mustafaj Her voice is awesome, yes. But I think the true magic is the soul she puts into songs, she makes them mean something to people. She could sing the wheels on the bus and it would feel like it meant something.
I'm not even sure if she has a song about sex and if she does have any songs about drugs(which I'm sure she does) it's mostly sung about it for a different reason rather than it being praised about like rappers
I know Sia for a while but I didn’t listen to each album of her so I decided to do it. I started with listening to 1000 forms of fear yesterday and I loved the whole album ❤. Agghh I can’t describe how much I love, respect and admire Sia. She has the best voice ever. BEST VOCALS EVER. Favourite tracks: Chandelier, Elastic heart, Eye of the needle, Free the animal, Fire meet gasoline and Cellphane. I will happily complete listening to her other albums.❤ Excited for her new album!!
There is a hidden language in her art. Divine geometry in beats and octaves. Sia is a gift ,she sings from a future heavenly place/time. In the fractaled akashic multiverse we comprehend as exsistance.
one great thing about SIA that she let someone els to shine in her music video its not all about her like other artist her mind is very beautiful ^_^ and this girl shine like hero
+Yumii FMB maybe not in this one but still she do this in all of her video music like chandelier and alive and also in a live performance she is so wonderful and thank you for clear that up this video is so well don i didnt notice it
6 years ago, after my fiancee passed away ive been 15 hours listening to this songs and crying as a kid, thats kind of help to release my emotions by the tears, I felt like she has written this song especially for me ! thank you SIA for being an angel in this world ! 😇
There are countless songs that have tried to capture the emotions that go through a person's heart after they've lost someone that they loved, but none have captured them nearly as well as Sia's Heart of the Needle. Here, Sia manages to finally connect with the listener in a way that hasn't been done before, exploring exactly how and why the pain of losing someone makes us never want to let go. We want to steal as much time with them as possible, even though we aware that stealing that time would be stealing it through they eye of the needle, a futile task indeed. But we aren't ready, so we try anyway. Not only do we not want to let the terror that is the realization they are gone in, we know that even if we did, we would always have the baggage they have left us, that we will carry around. We try to fake happiness through the intense, burning pain of loss that we are barely managing to cope with. Beyond the gut-wrenching lyrics is Sia's voice itself. Cracking with passion and defeat just before it soars with unbridled optimism. Even without words behind them, her voice captures sadness, and at times, unbearable pain as she seemingly struggles to find the strength to carry on through the song. And yet she does, beautifully no less. To put it simply, Sia, The Eye of the Needle is one of the greatest tragic songs ever written, and the world owes you a debt of gratitude.
Lyrics Take me down I'm feeling now And if I move on I admit you're gone And I ain't ready and I'll hold steady Yeah, I'll hold you in my arms, in my arms, in my arms And you're locked inside my heart And your melody's an art And I won't let the terror in I'm stealing time through the eye of the needle Step and repeat Tears fall to the beat Smile through the pain Feel the acid rain And I ain't ready but I'll hold steady Yeah, I'll hold you in my arms, in my arms, in my arms And you're locked inside my heart And your melody's an art And I won't let the terror in I'm stealing time through the eye of the needle My bag's heavy, been filled by me They weigh me down, carry them 'round It's all mine, all mine I am blinded by the eye of the needle And you're locked inside my heart And your melody's an art And I won't let the terror in I'm stealing time through the eye of the needle Eye of the needle, oh Oh-oh You're locked inside my heart And your melody's an art And I won't let the terror in I'm stealing time through the eye of the needle Oh-oh Oh-oh
I took the video as a couple with a communication problem trying to argue with each other in their own language, which is different from each other. She starts broken, but gets up as he comes back to her. They "talk." She spins in circles as he makes every beat he makes louder and harder. In the end, they stop trying to be the same and make their differences work and they both flourish.
I think its a lil bit childish to presume that ''melody uknown'' directly means different languages, if by language you mean the spoken language. I think it means more like unknown moods and the things u say under the particular moods, and it doesnt match with your partners emotional intelligence or feelings, so it becomes unknown or in this case misunderstooded. But the rest of it sounds bout right. Greetings from Finland its a dope song.
how can a song help you?Listening to Sia is so comforting she talks about our problems that not everyone sees so thank you Sia for all your songs that allowed me to move forward.
Sia, you take down so many "big names", without being a sexual object. I love that you captivate people in this day and age, when so many voices are just drowning each other out. Thank you for existing.
la bailarina es Marie-Agnes Gillot, pero no estoy muy segura de que este sea el video oficial... the dancer is Marie-Agnes Gillot, but I'm not sure that this is the official video ...
+zan van brunschot search: MOVEment: Alexander McQueen Marie-Agnes Gillot (but after seeing it with Sia's emotional song it might not have the same effect haha). She is phenomenal!
crying ..i heard this song 3 months ago at my job, and fell in love and i finally found it i have been searching months for this song with only a few of the lyrics stuck in my head im so happy!! love this song..
I am so blown away at her voice, style and song writing! Listen to her voice she has written songs for Rhianna,Beyonce and all the biggest stars! They sound like her! She is the it factor! I have become a HUGE fan over night with all her songs!
I'm so sorry for your loss. But remember, he is watching you down from heaven. One day you two will be together again. Getting over the death of a loved one is terribly hard and I understand that feeling.. but remember, Sia, me and millions of people will be there with you. You are not alone 💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞
Me da pena que Sia no haya hecho un video de Eye of the needle - porque es mi canción favorita de su album- pero me alegro de que hayan versiones así. Te llenan, te nublan los ojos y te inspiran a seguir. Gracias!
This video means so much to me. I see this as one person died, you can't tell which because they are both saying what Sia is singing. This song always makes me think of my mum who died 15 years ago and it's so important to me. Xxx
Take me down I'm feeling now And if I move on I admit you're gone And I ain't ready And I'll hold steady Yeah I'll hold you in my arms In my arms, in my arms Whoa [Chorus:] And you're locked inside my heart And your melody's an art And I won't let the terror in, I'm stealing time Through the eye of the needle Step and repeat Tears fall to the beat Smile through the pain Feel the acid rain And I ain't ready But I'll hold steady Yeah I'll hold you in my arms In my arms, in my arms Whoa And you're locked inside my heart And your melody's an art And I won't let the terror in, I'm stealing time Through the eye of the needle My bags heavy Been filled by me They weigh me down Carry them 'round It's all mine all mine I am blinded by the eye of the needle And you're locked inside my heart And your melody's an art And I won't let the terror in, I'm stealing time Through the eye of the needle Eye of the needle And you're locked inside my heart And your melody's an art And I won't let the terror in, I'm stealing time Through the eye of the needle Oh oh Whoa Oh oh Whoa yeah
I love all of Sia's songs but this.....pulls all of my emotions. Makes my eyes burst with tears. I do hope someday I'll find love. Til then, I'll smile through the pain.
I can;t thank Sia enough for her music. She has helped me out in ways that she could only imagine. Without going into detail you are one hell of an artist and God hes truly blessed us all for your music,.
