my interpretation of the song: she's talking to a loved one -the snowman- who is not happy because of where he is and is deteriorating slowly as a result. he is melting because he is in an environment in which he doesn't belong. She's bothered by the situation because of two reasons being the 1st that her lover is in pain, and the 2nd that he is incapable of supporting her as he was under his conditions. She tells him that I'll move with you to wherever makes you happy, cus' if you're happy I'm happy :) which is so beautiful and displays great loyalty and love.

I love how this song is christmasy AND depressing, its not always happy during christmas time, lots of times its sweetly sad. I think the meaning of this song is about how her lover, the Snowman, is a metaphor for someone suffering and depressed. The truly love eachother but hes still very anxious and suicidal, with this song she's comforting him and telling him that if he lets his saddness (tears) melt him (kill him), then he wont be able to be there with her. Telling him to be strong for her sake, so that she always be there for him in return. Some lyrics are about his suicidal thoughts are that world is better off without him, she tells him that his ashes cant hold her and such. And its beatiful how fully she accepts his flaws and problems. She'll love him eternally despite his his cold body and fragile life. And this is the soundtrack to their bittersweet life.
