The Cloud 9 Surfing Area and Sunset Bridge are two of the most popular attractions of Siargao.
Cloud 9 is the famous surfing spot in the island which was taunted as the best surfing spot in the Philippines and it’s what gave the Siargao its title as the ‘Surfing Capital of the Philippines’.
Cloud 9 Siargao is located at Catangnan, General Luna in Siargao Island. It’s a favorite destination for surfers of all skill level and unlike many other surfing spots in the country, Cloud 9's waves are consistently good throughout the year.
When visiting Cloud 9, another spot not to miss is the beautiful sunset at Catangnan Bridge or more popularly known as the Sunset Bridge. This is only 20 minutes walk away from Cloud 9 and will only take around 5 minutes when taking a tricycle or motorcycle ride.

the local goverment of Siargao should develop the sidewalks especially in busy areas of many people walking along the streets and highways.. to avoid accidents and to become more walkable towns and to attract more tourists to visit siargao.. and also do serious cleanliness of the island..

Siargao 1. Improve the bridge where a lot of people stayibg for Sunsent veiwing. 2. Selling in the bridge is not allowed under our law but this is a special case, extend the bridge for the street food seller. 3. LGU DOT and DENR, i hope you're doing well in managing Siargao. 4. Due to Holyweek, expected tons of tourist visted the bridge. Next week it's back to normal volume. 5. I love to see more income coming from our kababayan in Siargao.

Sobra dami ng vendors sa loob ng AFAM bridge sana sa labas ng lang sila dahil kalaunan sa dami ng kalat magiging baboy na ang lugar. Okay naman na may vendors pero huwag naman sana sa loob ng tulay natatabunan ang ganda ng tulay sa sobrang dami ng vendor.

Yung tulay dapat may magagandang ilaw yan para ms maganda tignan hinge ang lgu sa mga local businesses jan yung may mga may ari ng hotel kahit tag 1 k malaipon malabili ng magagandang ilaw sa tulay saka dapat may maayos na kalsada along coastal parang sa boracay

Is Siargao this crowded always or only during summer? I think what appeals to many visitor are the islands vibes. But when becomes over crowded like Boracay, then gagatasan pa ng LGU for ca$h, baka po mawawala na po ang appeal.

pinutakti na din ng mga vendor ang tulay.......wala ng kaayusan! dapat ni-reregulate pati ang mga paninda. maraming mga dayuhan ang nagrereklamo mga sumasakit ang mga tiyan dahil unhygienic ng ibang paninda. Dept of Tourism hintayin nyo na naman magkaruon ng malaking headline sa mga sinasakupan nyo! maging pro-active kayo sa inyong mga ginagampanang trabaho.

If you are tired and boring in manila , direct flight from manila to siargao island maybe 2 to 2 1/2 hours trip . Department of tourism do your job develop Siargao island a lot of tourist from different countries that help our economy and create job for the locals.

Very stark different spectrum, siargao don't even get 1% of Bali's or Phuket's foreign tourist arrivals, hence it tend to be more expensive. Stick to more established destination if budget is your priority, but if it's not, and uncrowded place is your thing, highly recommend Mentawai islands, it's a serious contender of Bali in term of surfing and comes with endless uncrowded superb beaches, Siargao unfortunately is not.

Ano ba ang nangyari sa bridge na yan, ginagawang market. Sana itong mga food vendors sa labas ng bridge, lagyan sila doon nang puesto sa side ng entrance for food vendors only para hindi sikip ang bridge, sila na tuloy ang pumuesto dyan sila ang nakinabang. Dapat dyan mga taong nag watch lang ng sunset, hindi na makita ang sunset sa selfie, kong hindi mangga hahaha...

Very few people even knows of Siargao until a few months ago, there were only a few hundred surfers that knows of it. It's not their local gov's fault that they're suddenly experiencing Boracay level traffic.

@@desgner_droz8716 People have known about Siargao for years. It's just ramping up because Bali's way too crowded now and people are looking for an alternative. It's definitely the local gov's fault for not capitalizing on the Island's potential. If they need funds, they can pitch it to the Department of Tourism for help. Or do what Cebu does best, which is PPP.

@@WhackashitCollaborations Siargao was already full of white tourists years ago, it just didn't deal with high traffic because it was a quiet surfing town, not a tourist hub. They will organize it when the income from increased tourism materializes but I hope they don't Bali-fy this place, it really doesn't need to be as crowded and messy as Bali is, it was already attractive to tourists without being a shit show.

Bali got 6 M foreign tourists, this siargao only got 53 K (or less than 1% of Bali's) and it's already dare to converted a public bridge as for tourist destination, isn't there any proper sunset point than a public bridge in this island?like those in Bali? Uluwatu is known supreme for sunset watching. Maraming pang kailangan napagandahin sa Siargao at ang importante doctors at nurses ambulance at manatilihin malinis at walang magnanakaw at bastos kong malasing at ang Afam bridges magandahin lagyan ng ilaw para maganda at kulang sa pintura at upoan

Halatang walang pki sila Mayor at Gobernador dyan sa mga infrastructures like streetlights and road repairs. Basta sa kanila napupunta ang pera ng Siargao at napapambili nila ng mansions nila sa Manila.

@@KagwangSquadvery different spectrum, foreign tourist arrivals of siargao don't even make 1% of what Bali get. 6 M vs 53 K. If you really after uncrowded surf destination, go to Mentawai islands of Indo. Superb beaches, great surf waves. But be prepared to pay US$128 for 15 days surfing tax, completely on another level compared to Siargao.

Way too many people in that bridge omgvthar can’t be legal. Also the bridge look ugly I think they need to improve the facade of it. And vendors shouldn’t be selling right on the bridge.
