Hi I used to fish a lot from Whitburn and Roker on my Kayak. I was just going to launch my SIB from the beach between the piers at the yacht club end as there is a sign further along saying no powered craft. I’m not sure how easy it is going to be with the launching wheels on soft sand and as I’m always on my own I don’t want to get stuck. One of the lads off a Facebook group recommended buying a pass for the slipway at Sandpoint, I did this and it costs £130 for a year, you need to go into the Marina office and have a picture of yourself, your car, your boat a utility bill and driving license, if you ring them to confirm this is still the case. The reason for all the ID checks is that apparently they’d had problems with people breaking the rules. I still intend to launch from different areas and beaches but the slipway is accessible at all states of tide without the worry of soft sand and rocks to negotiate. What SIB are you getting?

@@TheHopefulAngler Thanks for the info much appreciated. I was looking at the boat world models but i think im going to go for the honwave t38. Means i can get a mate on aswell. Im trying to sort a engine out at the moment. Possibly something 15-20 4 stroke. Not allot on facebook gumtree ect so i might try ring some of the boating shops. also wanted to ask how far are you going out and do you always use lures? cheers

@@carl3380 I looked at all sorts of models and nearly went for a new honwave package but then I saw that the Truekit was available after being out of stock so went for it - you only live once. I got my engine from PA Lynch at Morpeth it took a while to arrive but there’s a big shortage so I wasn’t surprised. So far I’ve only fished the marks I used to on the kayak because I know them, I do intend on going further afield I just need more time 😂

@@carl3380 if it was early in the season I would have mussel and crab etc with me but I like to use lures the most.

Me to, I was hoping for some.

@@TheHopefulAngler was on South shields pier 9.am this morning high tide using spinners and feathers nothing about. Beautiful day though maybe another two weeks the mackerel will show up.
