This guy needs more views!!

I never have seen an orchestra playing with such enthusiasm and engagement!! It must be down to the exceptionally inspirational performance of Svetlin Roussev but also of the brilliant conducting of Myung-Whun Chung. This performance is one of the very best I have ever heard and I have heard hundreds being professor of violin.

Roussev's musical and technical levels are tremendous. This tops all the performances of this work I have listened to and I have listened to many. BRAVO!!

시벨리우스는 이 곡 하나만 가지고 있어도 20세기 음악계의 영원한 샛별임..... 무쇠처럼 견고한 구조에 특이한 전개와 리듬의 변용 무궁무진한 희화적 표현 그리고 그 감성적 어두운 무드....베토벤 작품만이 이 곡과 어깨를 겨룰듯....

I can tell he is a well-liked concertmaster of Seoul Philharmonic. One of the stormiest Sibelius I've heard. Bravo.

What I have seen and heard of the concerto in this video has been fine. Svetlin Roussev played quite well - I'm sure Camille would provide a stamp of approval on the performance, and applauded the orchestra/maestro in the process. I can see why Roussev was enlisted as the SPO Concertmaster. Have seen a number of solo parts for various orchestra members, and some small-unit performances as well (quintets, quartets, etc.) I have enjoyed these performances - shows off the orchestra members, all of whom I greatly admire, respect highly, and love to watch perform;. They get better with each concert,,,, and they are already fine performers.

Sorry, but I feel that he is playing Sibelius thinking in Paganini. All the introspective element of this concerto is lost. It is a pity taking into account his musical level and the commitment of the orchestra players with their concertmeister.

Great! but he is way too in his style. Unflexible, hard and stiff. And tried to hide some mistakes, feisty, uncomfortable. French but american style to play? no.. Seemed like one of those judges who can't distinguish who is real treasure or just a musician in his type if he is a judge of anywhere.

Unfortunately it is not yet quiet a fair play - Notes missing!!, Rhythm that keeps changing not controllable - musically speaking not quiet there. There are thousands of performers that can perform just like Roussev. Keep practicing more Roussev!!!!
