I am currently in Lebanon 🇱🇧 as United Nations Interim Force In Lebanon (Garuda Troops from 🇮🇩 Indonesia). Our entertainment during breaks is watching war films like this and the like. In my opinion, war films during the era of the second world war are full of reality, especially from Russia (Soviet Union). How do they defend their homeland to achieve independence, because the independence of a country is a condition for achieving the happiness and prosperity of the people. And those loyal heroes sacrificed, not to be known by their names, but solely to defend their ideals. Thank you to the heroes who have fought for their nation and country.

@@ghostpunk15 I can suggest Stalingrad, Unsere Mütter, unsere Väter (a serie, but one of the best i've ever seen), come and see (very raw movie), babi yar and a few more. A lot of them are free to watch on youtube if you just search for russian ww2 full movie.

No matter if it was the Soviet Union or the modern day Russian Federation. It is in the Russian spirit to be innovative and fight from the heart for their homeland.

This movie shows how Russian and German commanders sitting in high offices miscalculate the graound situation to make things difficult. The interesting point is Russians have learned from their mistakes, Germans are not.

The Russian army of today is no way comparable to the USSR army in WWII. Beginning in the 1970s the army really started to go downhill and fell apart by the early 1990s. It never picked up again to where it wanted to get to, even after the military reforms of 2009-2019. I read Russian military reports and articles by Russian--not Western--military experts. Your enthusiasm is off base.

most of the Russian films about the second world war are based on documented stories. these are not American action movies filmed on a fictitious one. or again, the Americans take Russian documented events and film what it is like American battles. remember that the Germans did not consider the Americans a serious enemy, but they considered the Russians.
