Minghao used to watch Seventeen TV before joining Pledis, so he watched all this chaos go down and decided he wanted to join and we all love him for it 😌

The little kid is actually Samuel, they trained together, but he ended up being pulled out of the 17 project, so he didn't debut with them. Plus he was a little young at the time. You actually. already know him lol, he's the meme of inhaling pepper that you love.

The little kid at 3:39 is actually Kim Samuel (the guy in the vine compilations that does the funny cough because of the spicy food that Efra loves lol) he trained with Seventeen and was meant to debut with them but ultimately his Mum pulled him out because she was worried he was too young

"they were what? 16/17?" Actually a lot of them were a lot younger, i think Vernon was like 14 or so, they were very very young!! I think that's why too how they are so close and their bond is so strong, they were together at a very young age fighting for their dreams

It's not like the other groups didn't grew up and trained together but with SEVENTEEN it just seems different the chemistry they have today. I don't know what exactly happened inside that green basement but it was magical. The bond is even stronger than a friend bond. I don't know how to describe it. I don't witness this kind of bond with other kpop groups and I think it's one of the things that makes people attached to them. You can see and feel their strong bond. That's why when just one member is missing the group doesn't go as well af if they were 13. These were the golden SVT moments that every Carat loves deeply. I haven't watched the whole series but I'm planning to.

I just stopped questioning whatever nonsense Seventeen does because I don't think there's a logical explanation lmao. But jokes aside they are indeed jems of talent. I am really excited for you to do a SEVENTEEN special, 'cuz they never disappoint.

Usually, trainees grew up or trained together thinking "I need/want to debut" but SEVENTEEN, they're more like "WE need/want to debut TOGETHER", because they are trained together with debuting them as a group in mind. They were chosen to create a whole team and was trained together with the trainees they are training with as the FINAL members they will be in the same group with. Basically, they don't have to compete in order to be chosen to debut, all they need to do is to show their company that all of them are ready and capable to do so (tho pl3d1s delayed it a lot of times coz they were struggling back then financially). I believe that is one of the reasons they've got the strongest and most genuine bond out of all the groups I have seen. I love them sm. They are just so amazing. ----- Also, these videos were broadcasted live and is literally all over the internet XDD, this is also why it's natural for Sebongs to show their bare faces, like, they're not afraid to be filmed without any make up or whatsoever since we've already seen it all XDD This is lit one of the best decisions Pledis did, because of this, they were able to gain fans before they debuted. Though few, but already a huge help for a group debuting from not well-known company...plus Carats are loyal fans.

You're spot on about how close Seventeen are! They trained for so long together and then spent 2 years thinking they were going debut within the next month, only to find out the company had pushed it back again because they had no money - I think that's what makes them so successful as a group, they trained together as a group rather than being trained as individual idols and it's resulted in them having such great synergy

...And this is why in a recent interview where Seungkwan was asked if anything changed in their relationship when they re-signed their contracts last year (a whole year before their contracts were bound to expire), Seungkwan said no. They still laugh at the same silly things they did from 10 years ago (exactly during this time in 2013.) ---This is almost word for word exactly what he said... ^-^

I think what makes it more special is they went through more difficulties. Pledis was really small and had difficulties economically. They even had to practice on one of the boy’s school. That green room is where they practiced. Even getting food was hard, s.coups had to go steal grapes from the company to feed the boys. They had to do their promotions because pledis couldn’t. Pledis was really hard on them, also the earplugs or however they are called, they had to buy them with their own money, seungkwan didn’t have money and had to use regular earphones. They would also be pretty hard on seungkwan because of his weight and on wonwoo for using dialect. So behind this funny moments they had pretty hard ones too, and they could only rely on each other. That’s why they see each other as family

seventeen basically raised and trained each other. i remember watching them in this room when they were seriously training and it were usually Hoshi and Woozi leading the entire team to do choreo in the cleanest way possible (theyve already established discipline since predebut which explains why theyre so synchronized). Hoshi and woozi were so scary when they were trainees bc as mentioned by the others, pledis was too broke and they have no one to rely to but each other. Seungcheol (S.coups) also lead the group but in a more general way, whereas the two other leaders were more performance focused.

Now i know how can they become the king of synchronization 😁

Woah! Your insights and arguments are amazingly interesting! Actually its really rare for the KPOP industry to show this kind of pre debut clips/ activities. Majority of the pre-debut activities that was shown to the public are contests on who are the members that are going to debut such as Produce 101 series. Pledis Entertainment surprisingly did the unusual method whereas they showcase the training period of their semi? "Fixed" line up to debut. I think that's the reason why Seventeen are very close and in tight relationship. They are not trained to compete with each other. They are trained to compete together against all odds.

Idk if u know this but they’re self-producing even before they debuted. They made their own choreos n setlists for the showcases they did before debut (and even up til now they’re still hands-on with their concert setlists). Like back then a lot of fans were frustrated that their debut kept being pushed back so some left…but i think svt just rlly wanna debut so they all had the mindset that “WE should debut together” and no I’s. In the 17TV vids they practiced for the mini showcases svt did before the final line-up of the now 13 members. Some members left n some got added but those who stayed got rings from the company to symbolise that they’re part of svt🥺the rings were given to them before debut n they change them every time they release a full-length album. If you see woozi’s recent insta reels, he isnt wearing their svt ring and carats know they’re preparing for a full album! Svt nvr takes off their ring but the only time they dont wear it is when they are shooting something related to the full album! This green basemnt is legend but jokes aside to think abt them in that room, and to see the team bond now it jst makes me emotional;)) Pledis is known fr difficulty training process, i somehere read that they hv to learn lot of dance style inc ballet etc, and im not even want to talk abt their daily exercise. And the fact half of svt debut in such a young age fr a 3rd genertion is always amazed me. Everybody whose aware must have said that the smallest out of Seventeen by then was Kim Samuel. Back then there were 17 trainees hence they are called that.

The kid is Samuel Arredondo Kim. Now he is solois. He still hiatus and he's very talented. He can playing instruments, dance, rap, sing. He taught dance for some members at that time. He is seventeen's little brother.
