Girl! Preach! I am a charge nurse and all I hear from upper management is you are fully staffed! 😮 I am like where? You counting the chairs? It’s always the people that don’t know medical that make the decisions! Hang in there! This too shall pass!

Facts!!! Ppl making decisions NEVER touch a pt. It’s all based on MONEY & stats. I was a director in a hosp rehab dept for 18yrs. I couldn’t handle how EVERY conversation & meeting was about money. It is largely due to government “healthcare” reimbursement constantly reducing & costs rising. I left preCOVID a do not regret it at all. I miss the pts & my team but I just couldn’t do it anymore.

I was an RN for 35 years and retired from it and went back into business. I saw the changes coming in medicine and didn't like it. Something needs to happen. I even hate going to the doctor and no offense but I see so many young nurses that simply were not trained properly and it disgusts me.

I understand the need to do something for your mental health when it comes to nursing. I am currently on a sabbatical from being an RN. I worked ER and was in covid ICU and just couldn’t handle all of the staffing problems and the insurance problems and the people being treated like numbers. It’s a lot. it’s why I found this community. Not working for the past 9 months has made me recheck all of our money habits. I would rather go without certain things than continue down that dark path. I am now considering different rn jobs. We shall see how it goes. Doing something different could be the best thing that ever happened to you. Change is scary. It’s okay. But change is also where we sometimes grow the most. You got this!

Hang in there. Change can be a good thing. Maybe you need to step away from NICU for a while and work in a different area. Nothings says that you can't go back to NICU in the future. Also, Yes look into doing 0% balance transfer for the credit cards... another option you may want to look at is a Home Equity Loan. Since you have the equity... Just really look at the fees and all the expenses involved in doing that. You could consolidate your student loans, and credit cards into 1 payment. Just something to look into.
@BudgetYourLife
@BudgetYourLife 3 месяца назад
💕💕💕💕sending you hugs. Have you tried calling the credit card company and say that you have been paying on time and can they reduce your rates. I have done that twice before and if they can drop it 10%, that will help! I would try to reduce the interest rate first, because you have had that card for a while, it will keep helping with your credit score. Personally, I would keep paying your federal student loan at the minimum and nothing more. I would put any extra money to the highest interest rate card, I am not a financial expert by any means, but I am always available to bounce things off of if you need to figure stuff out.

I'm sorry things have been rough lately. Hoping they pick up soon. ❤ The 0 percent credit cards are great IF you can pay them off before the promotion ends. Many of them will charge the interest back to day 1 if not paid in full. I have one and life happened, and I couldnt pay it off. Got hit with a ton of high interest. Still paying on it. But I have a smaller one, that I paid off and it was sooo worth it. This one also had a clause that if there was a balance left, the interest would only be charged on that balance. I would look into one like that, if you can. Also, they all have different promotional periods. My smaller one was 18 mths, so I knew I could manage it. Hope this helps

Yes I have and it helped me so much just pay off the new cc as fast as possible the rate will go up after promo and they will get you. it goes down so fast its amazing

I am so sorry for all the stress and anxiety you are facing at work. I cannot imagine the stresses nurses have to go through, so thank you for all the work you do. I want to commend and thank you for also posting videos while still having a positive attitude for us in the midst of this hard time. 💜 Thank you for the vulnerability you have shown through your debt confession. I have fear and anxiety towards my credit card and student loan debt because I am still in the school. I am scared of the final amounts once I graduate. In spite of this, your videos and attitudes towards debt have shown me that it is possible to tackle it through challenges. Thank you Jaime for everything you have done for me! I am so lucky to have found your channel ❤

It is so sad that hospitals are more concerned about the bottom dollar than patient care anymore. I can’t imagine what that feels like for someone who literally just wants to help people. I’m so sorry girl. Girl, the credit card debt is such a stressor. We consolidated ours into a personal loan (the debt I’m currently paying off). It was a smart move for us because we went from having almost 30% interest, to 7.99%. We saved about $500 a month in doing so. I know it’s not something for everyone, but it was a smart money move for us! ❤❤❤❤

Please consider looking at a local credit union to you for a possible consolidation loan. They tend to have lower rates, if a balance transfer card doesn’t work for you guys.

You absolutely can get a card with no interest for a period of time. I’m not sure about your husband because of the high balance. I would look into a personal loan for his card. At the very least it will cut his interest rate in half and you will have a payoff date. I’ve done this a few times and I am consumer debt free now.

I’m sorry work is not going well at the moment, I know how that anxiety feels. I’m from the uk so I can’t give any specific debt advice for the us but I would definitely look into zero or at least lower interest rate cards/loans. Even if you can’t transfer the whole amount, transfer as much as you can and just pay the minimum for the moment while you work on paying off the rest of the higher rate cards. That way you are at least lowering the amount of interest you are paying out.

Hello Jamie. It is a very hard time for people who care to be in the Medical Field. Nurses used to be the people who mattered the most to the patients, now they are not given time to care. I do not know what it is going to take to get our medical care changed in this country. What I do know is as an aging person, I am terrified of Hospital Stays that may be in my future and that makes me very sad. It is okay that you are not bubbly. Being upset about it means you care and are in the right field. You just need to find the right position. Many decide to pay the highest interest debt first and not the smallest. Getting a zero-interest transfer can work, but, only if your spending is under control so you do not run up more debt. Also, do not get more on a transfer than you know you can pay off in the time period or they will tack on all the debt at the end.

With your credit score increase you should check into applying for a o% or lower interest card. You can transfer the balance and pay off quicker. But I’m also not the best person for advice so pray about and check into it. You can apply but you can always refuse the offer.

Every day i get home crying that i hated that place. My boss think that i was young so i had to work every day of the week 18hours a day. Young people in her mind can do too much work. So i get burn out. And divorced at the same time. And my boss threathen that if i get sick leave i would not have a job anymore. I was so tired and sick for this job anyway. So i quit my job. And say to my boss f you. Try to get someone to do my workload. That wont be easy. And still there is no worker there who wants to be in there after one month😂.
