Great speed test and review Greg !!! I am still on my V4 Talion 6s , IMO , if you had to pick one Arrma this is it !!!! It gives you a lot of everything from speed / handling / durability / jumping / etc !!! As a fellow CT RC guy , RCM is having their first bash day May 21st , hope you can make it !!!!
I find that 50% AVC is the sweet spot on my Vorteks. At 100% it's too sensitive and you're fishtailing like crazy at full throttle. BTW, AVC does really work when properly set and makes these cars manageable at high speed. Without it if you hit a small pebble at full throttle and your car does a 45 degree turn, you have very little time to react before you smash it into sidewalk.

Amazing car man. I absolutely love mine. I was able to hit 74 with a set of street crusher tires and a 100c 6s battery. Thing is super stable at speed and very fun to drive.
I really love the truck u own real truck. Plus I can’t drive the R/C trucks with AVC it’s great with Arrma infraction v2 and Felony. Thanks for the review

Easily the most aggressive, and my #1 personal favorite style/posture/overall design language of any basher RC to date. Most capable looking truggy, w the performance to match it's good looks? Hell yes!
Really like the look of the Talion out of all the 1/7 1/8 Arrma range this is the 1 I feel will be the best off road, Basher, track car ie do it all and do it all well where as everything else seems aimed more at 1 or the other 🤷♂️
I want one of these. I also want something besides a truggy 😂 If this was more different (I know it’s a very different animal) from my Kraton exb I’d already have one. The body just looks like a sleeker Kraton exb body. Does it handle as well as trucks like, say, the Tekno MT410, Erevo 2.0 etc? Not durability etc, just handling. Thoughts?
I just bought a Talion EXB for my bday this month, and the body doesn’t fit the body posts?? It’s like the holes in the body aren’t correct? I checked the exploded view and the body posts look to be the correct ones that are installed. Any ideas?
Awesome job as usual sir, I have a question if I’d like to off-road this RC like a 6s kraton could I simply change the position of the shocks and add a bigger more off road tire like a backflip?
I run LP backflips on my talion, and it loves em, more control in the air for long jumps and a little more ground clearence. But the original tyres are great for speed... john
Why they discontinued this truggy after one year seriously horzion u should aleast kept it out alot longer its not even old maybe a re released so what am not arguing just sucks to see it go away
LOL @ standing on the tailgate for "line of sight." Could hear in your voice that it was a self preservation move. If I tried speed runs on that road, I guarantee that I'd have a car in that pond quick!
Such a fantastic vechile. Shame Arrma discontinued. I did one speed test on a 21 tooth and hit 68 mph on crappy road. Definitely more speed in the tank. Such an easy vechile to control as well. We also grabbed a Proline Kraton Chevy truck body and trimmed it to fit, then changed to a slightly bigger shock tower which Arrma included in the box btw. Now we have a realistic vechile witt real windows. Best thing is it adds a significant amount of space to the interior so things are not so cramped like with the stock body.
Should have came with extra body posts, longer ones, to solve the body clearance when using larger batteries. This thing is a champ at climbing steeps.
I love the Talion. 🔥 I've never owned one but from the many many vids I've seen this thing is a 6S beast. I'm saving up to get one and a set of Kraton type tires. What are the best bashing tires for the Talion ???
Arrmas OG speed Truggie and mine hit a wall all out twice just destroyed it replaced the chassis and almost everything else both times and learned my lesson got to give it lots of room for beast mode, LOL! 70's great but it will go faster with a bigger Spur and Pinion (hint, hint). Look forward to more from you on it.
nice speed runs! i have an outcast 6s exb and was wondering if the talion wheels/tire would fit on an outcast? do you think it would help reduce the wheelies for speeds runs with the outcast?
After seeing other videos on how easily Arrma chassis bend, I question if they are actually using T6 aluminum or if they don't heat treat something correctly, because even the Kraton has the same issues
T6 defines the hardening, so then it wouldn't be T6. But note that bending stiffness increases with thickness to the third power. So a 4mm M2C chassis will be over twice as stiff as a 3mm Arrma one, even if the material is the same.
@@maartenmk I haven't seen a M2ç Chassis in person but I hear great things. I will say I have seen how easily the Arrma Chassis bends compared to other Chassis that are the same thickness and material, and the Arrma is soft. Could it have been a fluke or one off incident, absolutely, but I believe that Arrma is having an issue somewhere in their manufacturing process, I don't know if it's the aluminum the heat treat, the design, or any combination of reasons, but IMO there is an issue
Nah just arrmas are better on a higher level than skills of there drivers . If going send at 60 mph you have land on wheels or get m2 chassis . Other rcs may be more forgiving but not hitting jumps with same intensity and speed. And support bar in-between the towers is also a cheap way to make chassis twice as strong
Spectrum not arrmas nothing has same bash intensity as arrmas kits are smaller too expensive to involved to bash and change parts. But only rcs that compare , traxxas more durable for bad driving but no way same drivability for good driving .
Yes oil not foil although guys like to use earplugs lol 50/ 30 front 100/200 center 30/50 rear exb diffs you may want go lighter or just make sure they filled , I haven't perfected exb diffs may just stick standard ones exb are pita
Those servos are junk, I've had 2 take a crap out on me after 3 or 4 packs through them. I love my arrma cars but the rtr need some better servos at least. I upgraded to a better spectrum for 60 bucks not one problem on my vorteks since.
