I feel kinda stupid for calling in without listening to the whole stream lol. They asked what we did so I mentioned seeing DJ Mish in SF last week. Now that things are beginning to open up, I've been going out more. Tbh, I've been pretty isolated even before the pandemic. Idk if it's depression but I just tend to be a social hermit. After a while, you get use to being alone. Relating this to what was mentioned in this ep, I definitely experienced the "post festival comedown" after hanging with people the past couple of weeks. Being alone doesn't feel the same after kicking it. Before it was comfortable but now there's an unsettling silence and I realize I'm not simply alone but lonely. If you're in a good mindset when you're at this point, you can use this isolation as motivation to be creative, do chores, or simply go for a walk. But if you've been through some recent shit or have been lying to yourself that you're okay when you're not, then the silence eats at you. For me at least, negative thoughts come rushing in and remind me of all my flaws, failures, and how other people are living better. Doom scrolling through social media affirms these thoughts as I see people who are more talented, more attractive, and doing more interesting things. I understand I'm only seeing a curated portion of their whole life and that some of them are going through their own shit but it doesn't seem like that in the moment. Sorry, this isn't "Fun" but I bring this up because November is Men's Mental Health Awareness Month. As they mentioned in the pod, it's okay to feel sad and yes you don't have to fix it immediately but definitely take some time to self reflect or reach out to someone. Don't think you'll be burdening them with your problems, just let 'em know you just need someone to listen. "you ain't gotta go through it all alone" lol but for real! Last point which I'll reemphasize is what Anderson told Dumb about getting use to being outside of your comfort zone and feeling like you belong. Regardless of status, we're all social beings and can contribute meaning to our circle(s) however big or small. Thanks for attending my Dead Talk. 🙏 🐢🦆

Never thought about this before but Dumb would be great in a Wes Anderson film, he has a goofy, clever, kind of personality, which would mesh really well with Wes Andersons writing.

Steffie is so cute when she talks about her new experiences. I can definitely relate to that approach to life she has. Even if this was just catching up, it still was a great episode!

Yea didnt like this episode. Vibe didnt seem that positive. They snubeed aznpersuasian when they specifically said to be prepared to talk about your weekend. The guy seems like he is actually microdosing on shrooms for mental well being but the DUMB crew reverted too saying you just wanted to let us konw that you did drugs over the weekend. Especially after they talked about doing drugs over the weekend as well. Yall need to reflect, just sayin.
