Hi Matt I have been seen your vids of your engine build. I had some questions about the king bearings. Did you do something to get the flywheel end play right or what was the tolerance you looked for when building it?
The crankshaft end play is sorta pre-set, it was like .005" if I remember correctly. People say it can be as loose as .010" for a flanged set-up. If it was to tight you could sand the face of the bearing just like you would for a double thrust cam bearing.
@@MattLundquistVW I assembled mine measured everything and all seems good no endplay and everything turns by hand really good. But some grinds tell me that their bearings were not in spec
@@MattLundquistVW I’m going to do some measures with the dial indicator in diferentes spots to ensure it’s all good. It’s my first engine with a flanged crank jajajajja
They did well. One did get a rip, but that was my fault lol. Might make a solid set as they do flutter at a certain speed and that gets old after 200 miles
