It mostly is a real episode, this part was a Men in black reference there like an office with aliens or something and then he comes back through and his parents use the memory eracer on him, they just green screened the backrooms over it
Its real. Its when sid asks where he came from. Then his parents tell him to go through the space you saw him go into. But instead of the backrooms, it was behind the scenes. He got to see his animator, and going back to his parents he said he never wanted to go back there or even think of it. His parents said he wouldnt remember or care because his parents wiped his memory.
Plot twist: Sid’s “parents” aren’t his parents, the entity is and his fake parents stole him thinking he was stuck in the backrooms, the entity was searching for him for so long and finally found him, he’s a backrooms entity
